Friendly service-rooms practical-handy to all food outlets-views sensational and parking very good. We had our breakfast out on the balcony each morning and the shutters can be opened or closed depending on the weather. All round a lovely to relax for your holiday.

Stayed for 2 nights here recently and it really is a perfect location, directly opposite Town beach with the obligatory 5 star views. We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean view apartment which was very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchenette, flat screen TVs in both lounge and bedroom, large balcony and ensuite bathroom. The hotel itself offers excellent...

Thank you for your wonderful review Bernie. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and also that you enjoyed the Milkbar and Scampi’s experience as well. We have an ongoing refurbishment program underway so hopefully you will notice a difference in your apartment furnishings if we are able to welcome you back next time.

Staying at The Observatory is like having your own little slice of beach side luxury. Good for the soul and the environment! Stayed there for work. It was smart, clean and the view of the ocean from the private balcony was great. Staff helpful and local restaurants top quality.

The Observatory is well located near the beach and several good restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious and from the balcony offer perfect views over the beach and river entrance. The rooms have all necessary amenities including a large flat screen TV and a very comfortable bed. The shower/toilet area are well designed and have all toiletries required. Check-in and...

We first stayed at The Observatory 8 years ago and decided to return because we'd been so impressed with the units and location. It was very pleasing to see that the high standard has been maintained and the rooms still look like new. We had a 1 bedroom unit which was quite spacious and offered all the facilities we needed,...

Thank you for your kind words. They are appreciated. We are especially pleased that you commented that our apartments have maintained a high standard since you first visited not long after we opened 8 years ago. We do take pride in the fact we are continually looking to maintain the décor and facilities we have on offer. Thank you also...

We stayed for two nights whilst moving interstate. We arrived late in the day, tired and bedraggled from travelling all day. We were warmly and genuinely welcomed. When shown to our room, we were well pleased. Big, airy, huge balcony overlooking the blue blue ocean. Dinner in the downstairs restaurant was terrific and better than we thought it would be....

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Your kind words are much appreciated by myself and all of our staff. I just love your expression “gob-smacking views”. Only in Aus would you hear such poetry.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Observatory. The location is perfect, the balcony is very large and the facilities in the room are top notch. I loved the sweet touch of providing a complimentary hamper pack with local wine. Thank you!

After very positive experiences staying at The Observatory for work, I bought my little family (1 X newborn) up for a holiday. The staff were friendly as always and the position, facilities (e.g. indoor pool, lift, underground parking, coffee shop) and cleanliness made it a perfect option for a holiday with the little ones. So very enjoyable and easy. Thank...

Stayed there with my wife for the long weekend. Great view and comfortable bed. Didn't get our room cleaned though even though we called and left a message requesting service. Just about every time we called reception it went to voicemail as well! Got a late check out though which was nice.

I sincerely apologise that we missed servicing your room during your stay and that you had difficulty contacting reception. I followed up with housekeeping as to why your room was missed and it appears that the privacy lock may have been activated. This does however not excuse why we did not follow-up later in the day.

On a journey along the East coast, we decided to stop for a couple of days in Port Macquarie. The Observatory Hotel was well rated so we gave them a call to check for availability.
