We had such a beautiful couple of nights at the estate. Welcomed by Cameron who was a young gentleman, professional and briefly showed us around the estate and where we were staying and confirmed our booking at both restaurants ie the Mill Restaurant and the Brokenback Bar which is opposite the Mill.
The rooms were spacious and everything looked very clean and presentable, the view from the back was of the pool and spacious and lustrous grass and trees which housed also some kangaroos etc. the towels were fresh and condiments all clean and looked fresh, plenty of milk pods for coffee and tea, Airconditioning and all the welcomes from home were included. The king bed was very comfortable, The location was excellent and we walked across the road to a winery which was fresh and could take advantage of the scenic views of the Hunter.
We were provided canapés at the Brokenback Bar which were so delicious and wish there was more but too many winery’s around to visit, we have already recommended the Mill Restaurant and also Brokenback Bar where we spent time with the staff and GM Kirsty Gregson watching the Melbourne Cup. Kirsty was such a professional, friendly person. The other staff also reflected professionalism and whist we were watching the race our food was served and was covered to retain the heat which was excellent. The wines and cocktails at the establishment were beautiful.
Thanks Kirsty for your warmth and Cameron for assisting us with the glass so we could take some memorable pictures.
We will be back for sure and definitely recommend

I had a Vineyard View Room which was very spacious and had a glass sliding door to a patio with the most stunning view across the valley to vineyards. The room had air conditioning which wasn't noisy and a bathroom with a bath in it which is rare in Australia. I also liked the choice of wines on offer in the minibar which were better value than in the Brokenback bar on the estate. I had an evening meal in the bar and was not impressed with the quality of the food, the size of the portion or the high price for what I was given. The breakfast on the other hand although buffet style was generous and hot and well serviced.

We booked for 2 nights, the place is beautiful, rooms are ok and our room had a terrasse facing the swimming pool. The water of the pool was looking quite cloudy when we arrived and a maintenance person came around 3pm, saying that he would close the pool to clean it. As some guest complained that they paid to use the pool, he left and the pool was then closed later on. It was supposed to be a 12 hours thing but the next day I was told that we could not use the pool before the following day (that's when we were leaving) and I was furious. Even though the manager tried to convince me that something was suddenly defect. I did not swallow this as the water was not right at the beginning, and we were not informed. I especially booked this place because of the pool, and was really upset, as we had a perfect weather and in this area apart from getting drunk visiting the wineries or emptying the mini-bar, there is absolutely nothing else to do. Our visit to the restaurant of the Estate was not a great experience neither. The staff was just friendly enough, and we I requested may be a slice of bread with my Cesar Salad he mentioned that there are croutons on a Cesar Salad (of course me stupid, hospitality school in France and 40 years experience high Class places in Europe AND Australia, I should know this). The Salad was in fact some salad leaves on a plate soaked in a creamy dressing, a soft egg and the lot covered with much too much fried bacon/crouton paste thing, in fact a bacon salad; may be the cook had his day off, and the staff for dishwasher took over ??. Nothing to do with a Salad, very bad (but priced according to the place). My partner had the pizza (slow cooked beef truffle aioli). It really seemed and tasted as a ready made pizza base with the left over of the kitchen. When I asked about the pizza base to the waiter, he assured me that the dough was homemade from scratch by the cook (how do you make a pizza base from scratch as it is just flour, water, oil and yeast??), he probably meant yes all the leftover go on the pizza. Now the truffle -aioli is still a mystery to me as aioli has got nothing to do with pizza and certainly not with truffle. Very arrogant attitude from the waiter who did not know what he was talking about but seems to take the customer for idiots who do not have a clue anyway and would swallow anything he tells them. Apart from this, yes a nice place you can watch the kangaroos in the evening, and the lawn has got a nice green color, but take your own food with you.

Great location and property in the heart of the Hunter Valley, close to so many great wineries and restaurants. We booked the Olive grove room which was lovely, a large room with a King size bed, 2.5 seater sofa, good size coffee table, single bed in the corner and two glass doors opening out to a paved patio with a small table and two chairs to enjoy the views of the sunset and kangaroos on dusk. Mini bar had a great selection of local wines too as well as plenty of beer, chocolate, Red rock deli chips and nuts. The room was quiet and the management spaced out guests given the resort was not full to give us more privacy which was a classy touch.
Breakfast is included at The Mill restaurant within the estate and its a solid buffet with plenty of bacon, pork sausages, mushrooms, hash browns, scrambled eggs etc. Great pastries and fruit with yoghurt, muesli, granola there as well. Eggs cooked to order not a problem, barista made coffee was great albeit at extra cost.
We would definately stay again given the quality for the price point which was $325 per night.

Upon arrival into our room it had a strong musky mould smell. The linen on the bed did not smell fresh. The bath/shower did not look clean enough or comfortable to bath in. The website said it offered full bath. The website also offers air con but the air con is very old and loud. Several lights did not operate. Online the pictures are not accurate to the actual room, Very outdated and seems more like a 3star motel. Stayed in olive room and all rooms right next to each other like motel not like a boutique hotel that they described. No privacy can hear through walls. Very old kitchenette and mini bar contents is very old almost out of date food, the wine and beers also looked very old labels worn and dirty. Bed is old and squeaked every time we sat or laid back. Tv very small and not digital very outdated. There is barely any internet service and no wifi service. There is no windows only double door which has no screen so can’t stay open because of the bugs and very hard and loud to open. All furniture in the room is outdated and uncomfortable not at all Tuscany themed There was no where to relax as the furniture is uncomfortable cane chairs very uncomfortable. The breakfast at the mill was inconsistent each day and coffee was cold. Terrible service. Kept forgetting my order and it was wrong all 3 days.
I would hate for someone else to be mislead by this establishment and have a horrible experience also.

This was our 2nd visit to Estate Tuscany & we weren’t disappointed. This time we took our daughters, Keppel (our Dalmatian) & my elderly parents and am happy to say that we were looked after very well - no request (especially for the oldies) was too much trouble. The rooms (2 Olive Grove & 1 Vineyard) were beautiful - clean, tidy & aesthetically stunning!

We all sat in the sun looking on the Olive Grove side enjoying a few glasses of wine, chatting away and in the early evenings watched from the vineyard side as the kangaroos bounded right by our terrace.

Such a wonderful place to base yourself when visiting the Hunter Valley. Everything is close by - our girls went horse riding, we visited a few (dog friendly) wine estates and of course the Smelly Cheese Factory, Pokolbin Chocolate Company & the Chocolate & Fudge Factory to name a few!

On the two evenings that we were there, we hired a dog sitter (recommended by Estate Tuscany) who came to sit with our beloved pooch whilst we headed out to dinner.
Dogs are welcome at an outdoor table at both The Mill Restaurant & The Brokenback Bar, however, as it is July we opted for indoor dining at each establishment and therefore needed the dog sitter!

The food at both the Mill Restaurant (fine dining) & Brokenback Bar (casual) is excellent. Highly recommend the Beef Shortribs in The Mill Restaurant as it was just melting in the mouth, while the Prawn & Scallop Ravioli in the Brokenback Bar was just divine. Breakfast was included with our rooms and was just simply delicious and filling.

Thank you to all on Team Tuscany, with special thanks to Jane, Casey, Kristy, & young Charlotte & Aaron (in the Mill Restaurant) for making our quick trip away just such a lovely lasting memory! We look forward to coming up again!

We were a group of 4 couples and made booking at Estate Tuscany. The star rating for this place is 4 star however the rooms provided were sub-standard and not maintained at all. The bath had a lot of hair in it so no cleaning was done. There were cracks in walls and dampness/mould growing in corners. My room did not have any lights working except for a light at the entrance which was hanging down. At night except for this dim light we did not have any working lights!!. After complaining to reception they said they will send someone to look into this but no one fixed the lights over the 3 day stay. The rooms were not cleaned the next day and after complaining to reception someone was sent to clean the rooms.

Being pet friendly is a big plus. The breakfast in the Mill restaurant is good quality.
The swimming pool had very murky water and looked really dirty. Would not step in it.

Estate Tuscany was a peaceful escape from the noise of the city. The Olive Grove room opened out onto a quaint patio where we enjoyed our morning coffee with the birds.

The Mill restaurant was lovely for both dinner and breakfast, albeit a little pricey. The bar also did more basic meals.

The bed was quite high, but comfortable. Strong shower pressure. We did hear the water pipes from next door both mornings, they were quite noisy.

Our advice is to book a table for dinner prior to arriving, due to covid limited restaurant numbers etc.

There is a venue across the road that hires segways, horse riding and electric bikes. There are a couple of bike paths around that seem to be popular.

We stayed for 3 nights .Ask for the 2 night Romance Package - terrific value for money being Bed, Breakfast, Dinner and a Picnic Hamper. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable with great water pressure in the bathroom. The grounds were well maintained and we recommend staying in the vineyard view rooms with a cute patio for afternoon drinks. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the Mill Restaurant and Broken Backbar were well priced with great food, drinks and service.
Special shoutout to Belle in Reception (the Knower of all things Hunter Valley). Belle has great ideas on how to spend your time. Katrina in the Bar and Brendan and Irish in the Restaurant all made us feel welcome and well cared for.
We will be back!

Booked in for a nice couples weekend away as it looked like a classy and well run hotel, but this place is the complete opposite.

First, we were given a room that hadn’t been cleaned, then after being given a new room, it had no soap in it. We booked in to go to dinner at the supposed award winning restaurant - The Mill, hoping for fine dining and got Sakata crackers on our cheese board and sat in a dark corner, while we watched guests on other tables express their dissatisfaction to wait staff about their meals. I wasn’t trying to let that get in the way of having a great stay, so after getting back to our room at 9pm on a Friday night, we rang reception and were assured we could get a bottle of wine brought to the room, then put through to three different people before being told we have to drink what’s in the room only?

Next morning a new day should bring a new outlook, but this came grinding to a halt when we woke up with bugs crawling over our bed.
The receptionist said they have a lot of bugs around this time of year, so we showed her the photo and with a horrified face she replied, “Oh they’re silverbeets, they eat your clothes!”

I can’t help but feel this place appears under the guise of a classy Hunter Valley stay but they only really care about ripping people off by underdelivering on the high prices charged.

The hotel staff seemed nice but almost unaffected by the feedback. Charged us for the terrible bottled of red in our room and said they may have the manager call us, which seemed a little bizarre.

I highly advise against staying here.
