This place is so relaxed and easy to settle into. We wished we didn't have to come back home to reality. If feels like you are miles away from everything. Such an awesome place to stay and the breakfast was a hit too. Very happy with everything.

The view out to the mountians was spectacular with a wonderful sunset which we shared with the kangaroos. The owners were on hand with useful tips for wineries and and dining...

Lovely setting. Sitting at the deck looking out at the lake and beyond is a wonderful and tranquil experience. It is an unstaffed and self service place which serve us fine. We had all the breakfast ingredients left by the cleaners the day before. We made the toasts and coffee by ourselves. One thing to comment is that the cleaner...

We were looking for a romantic stay in Hunter Valley. From reading some of the reviews on Tripadvisor we thought Tonic Hotel (a so called design hotel) is a good idea but it wasn't. Here is our story of a two night stay during a week in September 2015. If you're not aware it is an unstaffed set of cabins....

I knew from the time I looked at the website, that Tonic would be wonderful, and it was. We were attending a Saturday lunch wedding celebration at Lillanos Restaurant nearby, and were able to take advantage of Tonic's quiet and relaxing ambience. Waking up both mornings to the lake in front, balloons quietly drifting by, and the occasional kangaroo looking...
