I don't like to leave reviews but want to do this more as an opportunity for the business to improve. The room I stayed in overlooked the beer garden out the back. I requested a non smoking room as I had my two children staying with us but were given a smoking room. No dramas, not the end of the...

From first arriving to leaving the staff members was very nice to deal with. The room was great and has a modern look. Clean and a comfortable bed. Close to all the restaurants. Would recommend this place.

I stayed 2 nights and found the location perfect for access to my office and to surrounding venues. I popped downstairs once I was settled and found a good bottle of wine at the bar. I didn't finish it and was pleased that I was able to take it back to my room for consumption later. The room was spacious,...

Booked a one night stay in queen balcony room over the phone with five days notice. I also organized for secure parking, it only cost an extra $10 if you are arriving by car. The room was on the second floor and faced the main road; there were no noise issues. It was clean and tidy. Some wear and tear...

Stayed for one night recently. Location is very convenient and the room was tidy and clean. The bathroom was a good size although tired and in need of an update. Requested a quiet room and it was nice and quiet. Would stay here again for a night or weekend.

Upside: Clean Very good wifi Secure underground parking. Friendly and patient staff. Had a great night sleep Good supplies including toothbrush Good AC Downside: Tired, old fitout (room 203 Dec 2016). Change the table for a nice desk with leg space. PC mice don't work on glass. Confused interior design, cheap fittings. Usual hotel room signage, marketing and superfluous items....

Close to the great of Newcastle the Clarendon Hotel is well situated. The rooms are very nice and you can control your own air conditioning to the perfect temperature. I heard next to no traffic or bar noise and I was only one floor up but they do offer free sleeping kits for those having trouble with noise. The good...

We needed accommodation in Newcastle CBD for Saturday night, so booked the Clarendon as we weren't looking for anything "flash" but also not interested in roughing it. In terms of price, it was one of the "middle-of-the-road" options. We were pleasantly surprised by our room, it was spacious and tastefully decorated with a tidy bathroom - it certainly wasn't a...
