Whilst the rooms are adequate and relatively clean. It is unnerving to arrive at a motel , enter your e-mail PIN code to enter the car park, then to repeat the process to access your room. Bummer if your mobile goes flat. It's a good location and the price is fair for what you get.

We stayed in a Seaview room. The location is ideal and situated on a cliff close to the beaches such as Nobbys, Horseshoe and Newcastle beach. The Seaview rooms are not the best as the view is obscured by several buildings. The hotel is being renovated at the moment and the lift is not functioning. The front office staff is...

The Hotel is in a great location, close to the beach, on the doorstep of Fort Scratchley & walking/riding paths. We had a family room, one queen bed & single in the main room & 2 single in a separate room, more than sufficient space. The room is very outdated in decor & a bit tired looking however was clean...

This is the second time we have stayed here. It used to be the Novocastrian. The upgrades are good. Its still affordable and right next to the beach. Bed wasn't great but that's the only criticism. Will stay again.

It was an eye opener! My stay was certainly better then what others seemed to experience, I had to call on a few occasions for assistance, I was answered each time with friendly service and helped... Rooms could use freshening up as they are somewhat dated however it would appear this is in progress in some rooms. The bed was...

What a strange place. Everything here is done without human interaction. There's no reception desk; you gain access to the hotel and your room with a code that is texted to you. There are no tourist information leaflets or maps in the foyer, just a screen explaining how to get into your room. Parking ($20) is underground and again you...

Stayed on a Friday night with friends. This hotel is unmanned which was fine at first until the code for the room didn't work. When we called the number left, it took hours for someone to get back to us meaning we actually staying somewhere else for the night instead! Pretty unacceptable. Floor in the room hadn't been vaccumed and...

We had been tossing up between this hotel and 2 other similar motels in the Newcastle vicinity but decided to go with this one as comparatively for about $10 more per night we were supposed to receive a free breakfast both mornings of our stay. Unfortunately the free breakfast did not exist and according to a staff member the breakfast...

Nice location but that is about it. Beds are horrendous and we both got sore backs. Showers were extremely hot and unable to turn down. So much so that the smoke alarm went off one morning and we all had to evacuate - apparently due to someones hot shower. Nice tidy room but really the mattress's need changing. Also cups...
