I came to Newcastle for 10 days for business. Staying at the Crown Plaza made it easy to take advantage of free time to enjoy the city. The hotel is right on the wharf with at least a dozen restaurants within a five minute walk. There are bikes for rent just outside the hotel door and the hotel provides a...

If the first impression is right then the rest will be good too. We had a smiling and charming reception at the Crowne Plaza and it was only good from there. All the staff greeted us with a smile and offered assistance. The room was clean and consisted of a lounge and cooking area with the bedroom separate as well...

You can see the light house and watch the ships working in the Harbour. This room also has a small balcony. Great location just a...

Just a quick little review if our recent stay at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Newcastle, NSW. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised of the location of this hotel. This Crowne Plaza hotel is very different in standards from my previous experience with them in united kingdom. However, I should have guess it from the price. Yes. You get what you pay for. It is very very basic. Even not very clean. But seems this is the most "big name" hotel in this area. More like a apartment or...

This is a nice simple hotel - the location is good, the rooms are nice, service is pleasant. But I am struggling to give it a better rating. I guess it comes down to not having any WOW factor. The rooms are nice, a little dated - still don't get hotels that have the shower being in the bath
