Everything was great but the room smelt a little of smoke. I did mention this to staff, my friend also thought the same. The staff were nice and the location was fabulous, I would stay there again but on a different floor so the smell of smoke isnt present.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the place I was at in Newcastle. However, I was surprised that the parking, outside but onsite, was an extra charge of $15. Never-the-less on a weak moment of being overtired I paid it. The muffin, however, was another thing. Newcastle has a knack for not having things open to eat...

Spent Sunday afternoon and night here as well as most of Monday. Wonderful check in service by staff member Taylah. Nothing was a bother for her and she was very informative regarding places of interest in Newcastle. Have stayed at many Ibis hotels throughout the world, but found this one the most friendly and conveniently located in Hunter Street Newcastle....

We got a super deal by booking through Trip Advisor of $145 for the Friday night: at that rate I was very pleased. The staff were lovely and the room clean and quiet. The room was pretty small I guess we chose the king size bed option which meant more bed but less room so that was fine for 1...

Ridiculously overpriced for the room we were given and then when checking out we are informed that parking is not included with our room and incurs an additional $15 charge. The parking wasn't even under cover! The staff working on the front desk were lovely though!

We paid $300 for one night in this hotel after the Bruce Springsteen concert. The hotel was made with cheap materials inside and out. Our room was tiny with a comfortable bed and the fittings in the rom were made of particle board and chipped in places. The bathroom was slightly bigger than a portaloo at the concert. Good location to town centre. Room need updating. Cleaning need a overhall. Breakfast poor had a poached egg cooked by chef well if thats the best she can do get a differant job. Other staff need a bit of training on front desk, we had 3 members of staff to open 1 safe box 10 minutes latter open.

The Ibis Hotel in New Castle is a simple hotel in a central location. The front office team and the level of cleanliness was good. Unfortunately, the hotel does not offer complimentary Wifi in the rooms, which is below our expectations.

Make sure you measure your personal dimensions and size up whether u can actually 'squeeze ' into their rooms. I got some great ideas on how to maximise space ! All on all, good value for money .. but still a tight fit for most !
