Away for work and looking for dinner. A local recommended shenanigans. 2 of us had steak, and the other had fish. We all agreed the meals were delicious, and beers cold. Friendly service and comfortable dining.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Ordered the mushroom risotto, and it was lovely. Quite a bit of pamesan cheese on top, too much for my liking, but I just took the excess off. Great value as always and the staff were lovely.

This distinctly Irish pub has a warm friendly atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and the food is amazing. Situated in the heart of Maitland it's hard to go past for a great meal. They have low lighting in the old style, comfortable seating and of course they serve Guiness pie, how could they not?

Thanks for the wrap. We've got a great team in place, driven by Bel on the floor and Anton in the kitchen, Bel's just a goer, lovely and gives her best at all times....the other guys just want to follow her! Anton is crazy and creative, has built a strong team that is full of pride and great ideas. It...

This was my first stay at Shenanigans however I have been there before for their Saturday night karaoke. Considering I paid less than $80/n I really can't fault it. The beds where comfortable, their air conditioner worked a treat and all the linen and towels where clean. The furniture is old fashioned but I honestly think that just adds to...

Thanks Julia. Glad you were happy with the STAY side of Shenanigans. We have looked into the laundry side of things, but basically have no where to put it that would be accessible to guests. Do appreciate your feedback. Thanks, Mike T

I needed a stop overnight for a business visit, which would be central, comfortable and not overly expensive. Shenanigans fills the bill. It is centrally located, parking is available at the back and rooms comfortable. It describes itself as "pubstyle accommodation" and that is exactly what it is. But you have to like communal showers and toilets, and being able...

Thank youKen. Certainly appreciate your comments. Pubstyle is not everyones cup of tea, but we like to think that we do this style fairly well...most of the time. Thanks again, Mike T

There is a photo in every inch of this fascinating décor. It is so nice to see that an old old pub can be refurbished, redecorated and still retain its "feel" of a place for everyone and everything. Polished and spotless everything meticulously ordered to collide into a charming décor. Ohhh the food? Varied small menu well planned and delicious...

Thank you Kayeleigh. We set out to make our pub as homely as we could...not wanting to be all glass and chrome like most other pubs and clubs. Your comments are gratefully received. Mike T

My wife & I are reasonable regulars at Shenanigans, our first meal was there, we married & had our (small) wedding/reception there & many family meals are had there. Always excellent meals, friendly staff & great service! I would recommend this fine pub to anyone.

Thanks for sticking by us...especially with Maitland's CBD being a bit of a "construction war zone" in the last few years. Kind thanks, Mike T

Wow, over the last year the food has really gone down hill. The quality of food is now no better than what I could do at home with ingredients from Woolies or Coles! The chips are little measly things, not the big old steak house ones they used to have. The garlic bread used to have confit garlic on the...

Sorry you didn't enjoy our meal. In our humble opinion the chips are great and are often commented on for their flavour rather than the tasteless, doughy, frozen ones we used to serve. And yes they are smaller, but we serve the the same weight quantity, so no loss there! The garlic bread for a very short time was served...

Stayed here for five nights and had a great stay. The cereal and toast included breakfast was very handy as was the tea and coffee. This was all available in a separate kitchenette and dining area which was a nice little common area. The shared toilets and showers were clean and recently renovated. Generally it was pretty quiet but my...

Thanks for your review. I think it was very fair and aptly described what we have...so thanks again! As for the noise...the pub down the road is a 3 am trader and occasionally things are a bit loud with people passing by. I lived upstairs at the pub for 15 years, and can honestly say that it is easier to...

Shared bathrooms for all rooms were ok. Kind of felt like staying in grandmas house and she hadn't opened it up to let it air out for a while. Wouldn't stay here again but would eat here. With some updating this could be a great place to hang out as it is in town. Has uncontrollable air conditioning which is...

I am naturally disappointed that we won't be seeing you again, but at the same time content with the fact that you "got what you paid for." That is exactly what we aim to do, so thank you! Glad you liked our food too...good chefs at present and friendly pleasant staff to match. Thanks, Mike
