There were 7 of us in the cottage so we had plenty of room - each of the rooms are very large and there are 3 queen sized beds and 5 singles ( 3 in one room and 2 in the other). All were very comfortable. There is 2 large bathrooms . There were ample kitchen tools and utensils. I... More

These serviced apartments seem to be an add-on to the original motel complex; a block of stock-standard flats from the 70's which unfortunately have never been updated. They are clean enough, and I have to say the beds were among the most comfortable we've had in a motel/apartment stay, but it was only a double (my fault - didn't check).... More

We stayed here with family(wife and 2 kids) in a 2 bedroom apartment for a week whilst visiting some relatives. I must say that the manager and staff were all lovely in satisfying my wife and I needs. From the free continental breakfast to as simple as giving us directions around Dubbo. I found that the apartments are in close... More

I booked Macquarie Cottage online to provide for three adults and four children who would be visiting the zoo. When I called to ensure that a cot could be provided, I discovered that the cottage had been double-booked. I was then booked into a different property which was said to be 'exactly the same', but on viewing the webpage, turned... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. The location was great, close to zoo and town. Tony the manager was friendly and helpful. Great service. Fantastic value for money, will definitely stay here again.

There was no undercover parking for all guests as advertised. Some garages were available but not enough for all apartments. We were there on one of the hottest days in the state & it was important to keep the car cool for a baby. The general state of the place and balcony was dirty and unkept. I don't mind if... More

Stayed here for 5 nights, price was reasonable for 2 bedroom. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Dining table, seating 6. TV good. My only real criticism would be the lack of kitchen amenities for cooking, cutlery glasses etc . Pillows need to be renewed but beds are comfy. Overall good value as cereal, toast etc included. Staff are nice.... More

We stayed in an Executive apartment but it was certainly not luxurious. The air conditioner was in the lounge room and the bedrooms were not separately cooled. One of the bed lights flickered. In addition, the dining room was claustrophobic and the bedroom was small.. There was no outlook from the windows except to a concrete parking lot. However, the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in September 2010 and wow was the place roomy! Nice flat screen tv, huge dining area & lounge area. Beds were SO COMFY! Usually I am a terrible sleeper on the first night but I slept like a dream on those beds. Pillows were so soft and everything was just wonderful. Kitchen was great, huge... More

Great location so close to the Zoo. Quiet as it is off the main road. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment...our toddlers had plenty of room to run around. Bad points would be cleaning staff didn't vacuum, continental breakfast was not worth getting out of bed for, entry light not working and deadlock on back door didn't lock properly...if I had to... “If you are staying in Macquarie Cottage, bring your own kitchen utensils. It may help you to know that one of the Queen rooms can effectively be shut off with its own bathroom and lockable door for privacy.”
