We stayed at the Astor for a one night stop over travelling both to and from Bateman's Bay. We often book 3 star accommodation and are usually quite happy with the modest rooms we are given. We are not very fussy people, but this hotel's sub-standard ammenities should give it a 2 star rating, not 3 star. There was no... More

We needed a room for one night in albury so we chose one that is near everything. As we arrived the reception was closed so we had to go to the main bar to make a booking. Our room was on the second floor and was told that we can access wifi for free. The parking lot at the front... More

We stayed here on Wednesday night, the only thing I would suggest Get new beds the room we were in Upstairs 210, it was like a brick, not good for someone with a bad back. And the shower kept going from hot to cold, then very cold, to boiling hot, a down stairs room would have been better as we... More

Pro's. Good location, handy to the freeway. Con's. Very dated, limited in room facilities (tea, coffee, tiny milk, tiny cups). Walk through the pub to find someone to check in. Curtins don't block out. Carpet sticky and stained. In a nutshell, I'd be very surprised if you couldn't find a better deal in town then this place.

First stayed here in the late 80's and had a ball. Have stayed a few times but not for about 20 years. Many places like this struggle with the upkeep and to put all their space to good use. But, rather than become dated and irrelevant I was so pleased to see the Astor as vibrant and functional as it... More
