Amazing B&B just 15 minutes away from town! Very clean, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We never had an opportunity to meet Liz but she is a fantastic baker and Terry was a great host during our entire stay! He took our children on a 4 wheeler drive to see the sheep and deer on the farm and helped us... More

Can't say enough good things about the place or owners. We had a fantastic stay, the rooms are well appointed and there is a small room with two singles for kids. There is a lovely loving area also to hang out in. The views from the property over the mountains and lush green fields are superb. Liz took our kids... More

First, I have never posted comments on Tripadvisor but our stay at Whitestones B&B was so wonderful that I wanted to share my experience. The room, common room, and gardens are beautiful and comfortable. My husband and I felt like we were returning home at the end of a busy day touring the area. The location is idyllic with sweeping... Whitestones is a modern B&B with two rooms on a deer farm about 15 minutes drive from Te Anau. Our room had a private entrance and a nicely tiled shower. The fields surrounding the house are filled with deer and sheep and the setting is very quiet. We also encountered a hedgehog and an assortment of birds. Liz & Terry... More

"Pampered" is exactly how I felt staying in this luxury B&B. You are made to feel like you are old friends of the owners that they want to treat well. Liz and Terry, are genuinely nice people (in a country full of nice people they were exceptional) who take an interest in their guests and have paid attention to every... More

We had a great stay with our two young kids at the Whitestones. The rooms, bathrooms and shared living space were immaculate, the bedding very comfortable and the place very cosy. The views on the surroundings mountains are beautiful. Liz and Terry are amazing hosts, so welcoming and so many great stories to tell about the region. We felt like... More

This stay was so nice because our hosts, Liz and Terry, genuinely cared about their guests and wanted to get to know us and make our stay comfortable. A private refrigerator for guests filled with juice, water and wine, fresh yogurt and pastries, chocolate bars on our pillows, along with champagne and appetizers on the back porch with our hosts... My husband, 18 year old son and I stayed for two nights in early January and we thoroughly enjoyed Liz and Terry's hospitality. The bed and breakfast has extremely comfortable beds with luxury quality linens. Everything is spotlessly clean, fresh and even sweet-smelling (mild lavender.) Our two bedrooms shared an otherwise private bath (there is an additional bedroom and bath... More

Having toured the South Island my wife and I agreed that Whitestones was the best accommodation of our trip. Liz was a fantastic host and her daily homebaking was a lovely treat to come home to after exploring the local area. The idyllic peaceful setting was a welcome retreat to re-charge the batteries. The Luxmore room was beautifully appointed with... More

My husband and I agreed that this was the highlight of our NZ trip. Peaceful with very comfortable facilities, it was perfect. Only regret was not being able to extend our overnight stay to 3 nights! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a charming and luxurious stay. We would definitely return.
