Alpenhorn. Motel is not directly on the lake, but nearby. It's a quiet typical motel, cars are parked in front of the room, and a nice small patio is in the back. We did the Glowworm tour, and we drove to Milford Sound the second day. The owner managed our boat trip in advance.

This little lodge was a perfect stay in Te Anau. Service was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the rooms very clean with free unlimited wifi. The patio area is open and perfect to sit out for morning breakfast (which you can cook in the room's kitchen!). The downtown area is less than a minute drive, and this makes for a...

Although the motel was just an average class, it was Ok and we have no adverse remarks to make. However, it was a short drive to the town centre and an abundance of restaurants. Our host, Tony Austin was really friendly and helpful and assisted us with one of our bookings that we had problems with. The Motel is Ok...

As typical backpackers, we usually dont stay at places like this, but after completing Kepler Track, we wanted somthing a bit fancier. Great quiet location, though still in the center, nice furniture, kettle, microwave, electrical pan/oven, TV, free wifi, laundry ($2), small heater. For us really worth the money (and still it was one ofthe cheapest available), plus very kind...

Tony made us very welcome and we were sorry we had already booked our trips in Te Anau as he had plenty of helpful advice to give us. The room was a good size with a parking space allocated to each room and a garden area with table and chairs at the back-very nice...pity we couldn't use it as it...

We stayed for 4 nights to explore Fiordland. Great place to stay on a quiet street but still conveniently located some 5-10 min walk to the town centre for shops and restaurants. The motel was very clean, comfortable and provided all facilities one would need. The bed was one of the most comfortable and, combined with the peaceful location, made...

The Alpenhorn Motel is located just 3-5 walking minutes from the main street in Te Anau and just around the corner of the lake and a park. The interior is basic, but there is actually everything you need. The kitchen is really good equipped to make a nice dinner. They also provide coffee and milk. In front of every unit...

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Fjordland , and Tony, the owner, is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very dated, especially the bathroom, but all was very clean and the bed very comfy. They don't service the rooms , only for a surcharge, otherwise you just get fresh towels and the rubbish bin emptied. We got good...

Tucked away down a side street 2 mins from lake 5-10 mins from high st. Had a studio room which was spotless on arrival. Tony the proprietor is very friendly and helpful. Booked our trip on Milford Sound. On this point make sure you go early on a small boat - we had only 40 on our 10.30 depart. After...

We stayed in a two bedroom motel for a night just because we booked a tour to the Glowworm cave. The room was all right. It is small . The first bedroom had a good view of the lake. The only problem is the second bedroom had only a thin curtain on the door. No privacy. (FYI the glow worms...
