We stayed at the lodge after a trip out to Milford Sound and it was spectacular. The lodge itself is beautifully constructed - like something i would expect to see in a movie. It has so much character and charm and is beautifully positioned overlooking the lake and mountain ranges. The main part of the lodge has an amazing open fire that you can sit next to in big comfy chairs and have a wine and look out at the stunning landscape. We spent the night sitting by the fire and chatting to other guests before an amazing dinner was served! The staff were amazing - they went out of fheir way to make sure our stay was perfect. So friendly and helpful. I would love to go back next time im in NZ.

We had such a fantastic experience staying at Fiordland Lodge. We stayed four nights and were treated to amazing food, great wine, interesting people to chat with at the end of the day and an incredible team of people working at the Lodge. This was our first time staying in luxury lodge type accommodation and we could not fault the service or the lodge. It was amazing. Thank you Andy and your team, you made our stay a memorable one.

There was good and bad at this lodge. It was the most expensive place we have stayed at and sadly it didn’t live up to expectations. The good bit is the location, the building and the hot tubs. Sadly we felt the attention to detail wasn’t there. The rooms (we were in the cheaper rooms @ $750 ish per night) were dated, and could have done with a fresher look. Service was OK but not spot on. The menu for evening meal was not available when we asked at about 4 pm although one was expected to decide if you wanted to eat there as chef needed to know! We did eat there one evening, it was OK but not worth the $90 a head.

What a beauty! Hubs and I were lucky enough to stay in one of the log cabins for our two night stay. We received incredible service from the moment we stepped in the massive double door. The first night of our stay, we indulged in the set menu with pre dinner canapés and drinks in the great room. We met a few of the other other guest and it felt very intimate and cosy. The meal itself was an amazing 3 course meal, which hubs and I chose “one of each” from the options available. Breakfast was included, and you have a great selection to choose from. The second night of our stay we decided to eat elsewhere, but came back early to enjoy one of the hot tubs available to guest. It was very tranquil and as you can imagine, the view was spectacular (see picture). We felt this place was definitely a place we could come back. Amazing hospitality as well. Thank you for our enjoyable stay!
