The rooms were clean and there was a small cooking area in the room. However they had left all the windows open to air the room but hadnt close them so when we arrived it was freezing closed. The heater was inadequate and we spent all evening with our coats, and 2 jumpers as well on. They had no tea...

It is sad that you did not come and see us as at our reception as we would have been able to provide you with additional heaters or blankets as you would have needed. We have very powerful heaters in the rooms. Sometimes all that is needed is to turn them high rather than just switching them on. We have...

Ended up staying for two nights due to snow on roads. The staff were the friendliest and most informative we have had across the south island. As it is winter the road into Milford was closed so they were extremely flexible with our booking and always informing us when they got updates on the road.

The staff was really friendly and helpfull, So far i know every room has its own toilets ad showers. The location is great, since its close to the town centre and one has a beautiful view over the lake and its montains. I can only recommend staying there.

Before I left Rachel asked I take 5 mins to write a review about my time at the backpackers, so, as a fellow northern man to a fellow northern girl I shall keep my word. The backpackers is homely its got a lot of rooms yet its still got an intimate feel. Very clean and tidy room, plenty of space,...

19nzd to camp, no BBH discount. Loads of tent sites. It was easy to put in tent hooks. Sandflies were not a problem. There was a clothesline to dry stuff. Small kitchen, but it's constantly cleaned. Not enough seating during peak hours. Free wifi - can't remember if it was unlimited because I was out and about all day. Some...

The receptionist was extremely rude, off handed and unhelpful. The room was down the side of an adjacent property and house, no pathway, no lighting, no signage. Room was like a garden shed with a bed put in it. The proximity to town centre was good but the establishment itself I would not recommend.

Having spent time in Queenstown in a backpackers where I had to walk outside to go to the bathroom, I was quietly surprised that my dorm room had only 4 beds and it's own bathroom inside. The room was spacious, very clean and tidy their communal kitchen was pretty big and looked clean despite all the people. My only confused...

I stayed there a night n got a share room with other two girls. The room is very clean n it's located in a good location. However, I can't feel very welcome when checked in. The lady looked at me when I opened door. I can feel she is not very welcome n rude.

The housekeepers did clean the rooms real nice. I was given upgrade to ensuite form room which is nice. However bed is wobbly and hard to get good sleep when you're on the top bunk. Lack de charging point too. Kitchen is small for the amt of guess, and often dirty. Fridge is packed with dated stuff. Wifi only available...
