We checked in early and thought that we were not able to get into our room. The staff at the counter was helpful and gave us a room upstairs. We checked it and we were not happy with it because our booking says that it has a garden view, so he gave us a room on the other side of...

Clean and comfortable but with a upstairs rooms the lack of a lift may be a problem for some elderly people. Of the 12 different hotels/motels we have stayed at during our two week holiday touring NZ this hotel and one other have the untrusting/greedy policy of charging the room rate at the time of booking ..... seven months before...

An affordable and comfortable hotel. It was located at the southern end of the lake and about a 15 minute walk to town centre. Our room had a lake view and the room was serviced daily. Would definitely stay again.

Around January Te Anau is busy and expensive for what you get. This place was decent value. It is a hotel with very few facilities other than the rooms. And the decor means it could very easily be turned into a hospital or rest home with very few adjustments required. But the rooms are fine and comfortable and fairly spacious....

We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the lake. Our room was good value for money, clean with good facilities. We didn't have clear reception on the TV but were here for the outdoors, so didn't really bother us. An a la carte meal at their restaurant Bluestone was excellent. Try the chilli prawns - yum! Couldn't fault the...

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Internet was not great but accessible. Location was a 5/10 minute was from downtown but the walk itself along Lake Te Anau was beautiful. Overall we were happy with our choice.

Although the location is pretty convenient but the place is not very comfortable. The worst thing was the attitude of the guy at the reception who was not at all helpful. The rules around wifi usage was vague and highly disappointing. The rooms are very uncomfortable with no proper cutlery, microwave, air-conditioning and it didn't look clean compared to the...
