We stayed at Blue Mountain only one night, but it was one of the most beautiful and memorable days of our trip. I'm so glad we got there early enough to explore the property and all its many creatures! And Fiona and Dean were warm and gracious hosts, with an eye on the smallest details. This is my first and...

We stayed at Blue Mountain two nights and could have stayed longer! The B&B is slightly outside Te Anau, but each cabin looks out on a pasture of sheep and has a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The owner Fiona, and her partner Dean (who organizes fishing trips), were wonderful hosts. Fiona served us beautiful breakfasts, was available for...

We stayed in the main house in a very comfortable bedroom. The bathroom across the hall was private for us, and was very nicely appointed. Fiona was really great with advice for local walks/tracks and we really enjoyed both the food and conversations at breakfast time.

Fiona was a wonderful host, very welcoming. We stayed in the B&B room in the house, which was immaculate. Bathroom and shower were located right outside the room. She has a wood stove in the kitchen/dining room area which made it really cozy. The continental breakfast was wonderful and we even got to feed the alpacas and sheep in the...

We spent one night there. The cottage was cozy, with heated beds and a very hot shower with great pressure. There were plenty of local restaurants to choose from, and we absolutely loved feeding the alpacas, sheep, cows, chickens, and goats! Fiona was also kind enough to let us use the wi-fi in her house in the morning when we...

We spent 4 nights there. Our bungalow was well equipped. But in particular we appreciated the environment of the place. We were very well welcomed by Pete who gave us a short tour of the property. We discovered the garden and its fresh vegetables and enjoyed all the animals around: vicunas, sheep, a friendly pig and two adorable dogs. We...

What a beautiful spot to stay. The cottages were extremely well set up with flowers in every room, comfortable lazy boy recliner sofas, everything you could want in the kitchen, really good washing machines with soap powder supplied, excellent bbq, very comfortable beds. Loved the attention to detail. We were continually wowed by the care given to us by Fiona...

We stayed for 1 night and our kids enjoyed feeding the animals (sheep, cows, alpaca). The hosts, Fiona and Philip, are wonderful. They also showed us the lake near by where our kids enjoyed jumping from the pier in to the water, with other local kids. Our only remaining wish was to have seen a sheep being sheared but we...

Couldn't ask for a better accommodation for a family 2 night stay. We loved being away from the busy little town of Te Anau. It is located just 10min drive. We did our shopping in town and had our breakfast there before heading to our daily excursions. The kitchen is well equipped, there was even a washing machine which was...

Fiona was a great hostess, especially went to the shops to buy what we needed for breakfast(including my gluten free bread) . Loved the open feeling around the cottage. Has got a washing macine with supplies. Unfortunately we missed out on the farm tour cause our travel agents booked a late night excursion and then an early morning one.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
I own and operate two self contained cottages on 20 acres of intensively farmed land, 7km south of Te Anau on the Southern Scenic Route. We are conveniently located between the two entrances onto the Kepler Track and are just minutes from the Waiau River, famed for rainbow and brown trout. Each cottage has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with a seperate bathroom, laundry and barbecue. This is a great place for families and couples alike. I offer Country living at its best and a real taste of the New Zealand way of life. ... more   less
