Dusky Ridges far surpassed all of our expectations and was the nicest place we stayed during our honeymoon to NZ! My husband and I stayed in the garden chalet on our way back from Milford Sound thinking it would just be a place to sleep, but staying at Dusky Ridges was really a highlight of our trip! We generally prefer...

Probably the best accommodation option in Te Anau, which is a good place to base out of if you wish to visit Milford sound. The far stay is located on idyllic farmland with perfect view of the dusky mountains in the distance. Accommodations are quaint but adequately updated. Bathroom had standup glass enclosed shower. The host was very kind and...

Believe the hype. The view from the room is worth a million dollars! Win and Henrik have capitalized on this most important asset by framing both rooms (and their house) toward Lake Te Anau so you can enjoy the splendor of sunset. Win has worked hard to create a well appointed, cozy environment where everything needed is both anticipated and...

An excellent B&B. We stayed in a chalet/bungalow in the grounds surrounded by sheep and deer. The bungalow was well furnished and spotlessly clean. Our hosts were very friendly and informative with regard to the local attractions. Just a few miles outside the town but near enough for shops, restaurants and attractions.

After reading all the reviews I felt that it would be a crime to skip staying here. The review by Rachel G was probably the warmest review I have ever read. We came to Te Anau for two nights but Dusky Ridges could accommodate us on only one of the nights. I still grabbed it and we stayed the second...

Win and Henrick made us feel comfortable from the start! Win was bringing freshly baked bread to the cottage when we arrived so we knew it would be a great stay. Our 'apartment' was well appointed and the breakfast she set out for us was delicious. Henrik had homemade venison sausage in the fridge so we grilled that for dinner...

Our group of seven (my husband and I, our two toddlers, and our senior parents) stayed in both the Apartment and Garden Chalet for three nights at Dusky Ridges. The experience was just perfect. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Win, who gave us a tour of our lovely accommodations, brought toys for our kids to play with, and explained...

We stayed in the Garden Chalet at Dusky Ridges and it was a beautiful place with a huge king size bed, comfortable chairs to sit in and watch the ever changing view of the mountains. Huge shower room too. It has a kitchen with everything you need to cook the terrific breakfast of venison sausages, bacon and home laid eggs....

I have stayed here for 2 nights. The host definitely tops the list for being the friendliest host i have ever met. The room is mega comfortable and cosy. Surrounding by the lovely and effable sheeps, deers and rabbits on the farm made me excited and feeling grateful. This was an awesome experience and thanks for everything well prepared by...

We stayed for 3 nights, and wished we could have stayed longer. Winn and Henrik were incredibly gracious, helpful and friendly. The guest unit is a standalone structure, fully equipped with a cooktop, oven, clothes washer, dish washer and gas barbecue. Just based on the quality of the accommodations this would be an easy 5 star B&B. But there is...
