The property is a Small and Friendly Guest House. The amenities exceeded our expectations - as did the views of the Lake and Mountains. Breathtaking. Only 20 minutes drive from the ski lifts. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfasts. The Hosts were extremely friendly and on hand to chat and give us advice on what to see and do. Great value for...

My partner and I spent 4 nights in the king suite and then 6 nights in the honeymoon suite. Both rooms were fantastic. The king suite was bigger than the honeymoon suite and even a little more private, however the 2 person spa in the honeymoon suite was a real delight after a full day skiing. The lodge hosts are...

The Balmoral Lodge greeted us at the end of a very long day's drive, and we were delighted. Our room was perched high above Queenstown, yet within walking distance of the downtown restaurants etc. The view was to die for. In fact, I gasped when I walked into our room. The huge bathroom and bedroom combined for a spectacular, sweeping...

Absolute first class hosts, they knew everthing about the area, even dropping us into town one morning. We are both aching to visit New Zealand, especially Queenstown again. We'd recommend Balmoral Lodge in a heart beat. In fact, we did when...

Queenstown was the final stop on our honeymoon and the Balmoral was a real high note of the trip. The view from our suite was stunning, the bathroom was spacious and everything was very well cared for. There was a DVD player in the room and a selection of movies to watch if you want to stay in your suite,...

From beginning to end, a wonderful soujorn in Queenstown thanks to our hosts at the Balmoral Lodge. The honeymoon suite 2 was a great choice with views up both ends of the lake - watch the morning mist clear to reveal the most magical scene... even from the spa bath! The breakfast was relaxed with our resident chef/host and special...

“Though close to town this apartment is not somewhere I'd walk to/from unless you liked steep hill climbing. With a mix-aged group - there were five in our group - it was nice to have the youngest child sleeping close by in the living room while the adult kids had their own separate space. The bed in the living room was sooooo comfy but it did limit the living space for the family. Separate ensuite for the master suite was brilliant.”
