Booked with Base Queenstown because we heard that's where you go if you want to party and that was exactly what we got. No complaints about the beds or staff or anything like that, we had a great time. If you're looking for a quiet...More
Great place to stay if you're going to Queenstown to party. Somewhat clean and good facilities. Beds are alright. just beware the rooms sit above a club that is open till 2:30am-ish and after that it turns into a recycling center for glass bottles, Holy...More
Base Queenstown is mostly dirty (kitchen, floors, shower). The beds are super squeaky, every little move made massive noise. I even feared that the bed is falling apart. The 8 people dorms are very small! Not enough plugs and no space to put your backpacks...More

Base Queenstown is awful. Full of bed bugs and will never recommend anyone to stay there. The whole of the building and the hostel needs renovation and updating and everything is old. WiFi is terrible as it hardly connects.

Hi Richard, in the 4 bed dorm there is no under bed storage as these are no longer bunk rooms. We have a luggage storage at reception or there in ample space in the room for your ski bag, just no locker. The lockers in our dorm rooms wouldnt be long enough to fit them either. We also have a dry room, which is perfect for your boots and jackets/gloves etc :)
Thanks, Darelle Jenkins.
