I understand that you can't have high expectations while living at a hostel but when they never clean the duvet cases or vacuum the rooms it easily gets dirty with 8 dorm room. And the toilets could definitely need a proper cleaning as well such as fix the showers so you don't have to shower in ice cold water.

Hostel is in great spot, near all the bars, shops and restaurants. All the facilities was basic but that's fair enough for the price you are paying each night. Great place for meeting other solo travellers who love a good drink, and the bar next door was great especially the 9 dollar steins!! The only let down was the room was...

The staff were very professional and friendly at a very very busy time. Due to me hanging in reception a lot I saw multiple guests raising many queries. The staff were kind even when guests were being fairly rude or persistent & even though problems were mostly due to guests not reading the T&Cs eg under 18s can't stay in...

Couldn't complain about the room, however I didn't have one good experience with the any of the British workers on the service desk to be honest, they were wankers! The location is definitely a positive and it's a very easy town to navigate around.

Great location and most staff were helpful (especially to book activities). HOWEVER, No heating (down to 6 degrees outside and it's freezing), no extra blankets available when asked, no car parking available, "free breakfast" and then the disappointment that it's only toast with jam and there was no bread left other days we went, and finally paying for wifi and...

All you actually need from a hostel is a bed and a hot shower when it's cold outside right? This hostel does not provide those basics, a bed yes but a cold shower is pretty awful when it's freezing outside. I tried twice, once at 8 am: cold, then at 5pm: cold, tried 5 different showers all cold. I don't...

This hostel is the worst hostel in nz I habe stayed in. It is smelly in the reception area as soon as you walk in, staff doesnt seem real interested. Got a room on the first floor, which was on the opposite side of the bar but could still hear the music pumping till 3am. Only a couple of power...

It's not a bad hostell. We stayed in the 3rd floor and we didn't hear any noise. Kitchen was huge and busy. They had a lot of appliances broken but they had so many that it was alright. Overall we had no problems. And it was the cheapest hostel in town! Staff was nice and we liked the music in...

Great location. Free breakfast of toast and jam From 7-9am. Relatively clean. Always busy and extremely noisy 90% of the time. Nearly every door slam shut, yes I know they're fire doors but some do and some don't and the ones that do sound like cluster bombs going off all night long. Compared to say Adventurers Queenstown this place is...

After staying at several other backpacker accommodation (also in private rooms), I was pleasantly surprised to see towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner, tea, coffee, a jug, a TV, and a fridge in my room. Wow. The location is fantastic for anyone wanting amenities and the bus.
