Here's the thing - the hotel by itself is wonderful. The staff was great - the room was fabulous (including a fireplace!), the view from the room was great - but being awoken every morning at 7:40 am to the sound of Hammers and BuzzSaws was not great. Added to the construction noise was the music the workers played -...

I wish you had of mentioned this at the time and we may have been able to move you. The two apartments being built next door have been very slow, now nearly 2 years and they have been most considerate but I think the pressure is now on them to complete and this past week it has been most inconsiderate,...

Great location and very welcoming staff and owner. They have just a handful of rooms but that makes for a better experience than the larger hotels. The staff treat you like family and are happy to help in any way and give advice about local attractions. Each morning they cook eggs to order as well as cereal and fruit. In...

this lovely place hardly needs another enthusiastic review: everything about it is charming and attractive, the decor, the hosts, the view, the very pleasant cocktail hour with excellent NZ wine and really delicious canapes. if i owned a b&b (not something i'd aspire to, clearly it is hard work and you have to like all kinds of people), i'd want...

We arrived early on March 14th and Louise immediately took our bags, found a room to be ready, upgraded us to a suite; she sat us down, offering tea , biscuits and a local map then proceeded to answer any questions we had. The room was lovely and quiet. It seemed to me that all the rooms had balconies with...

I can only reiterate the previous reviewers'comments - also the best for us in 3 weeks in NZ. We were allocated the 2 bedroom suite even though there were just 2 of us. Well equipped kitchen meant we could cook for ourselves - and dine with a marvellous view. Happy hour was great as all guests could get together and...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Great breakfasts. Just a short walk into the centre of town. Easy parking. We spent a couple of nights here but would have been happy to stay longer if our itinerary had allowed.

Thank you for your review. we are always astounded when guests are only staying one night and discourage this as it is not nearrly enough time in Queenstown or at Queenstown House, glad you stayed two and hope you will return for longer next time. cheers Louise

Our apartments are special and spacious with amazing views, glad you enjoyed it. You certainly experienced some of my favourite activities and places. Glenorchy which is fondly known as Lord of the Rings countryside is a wonderful place to visit just 50minutes up the lake, well worth the drive and the day hikes are spectacular/ Kind regards Louise
