If you don't mind walking a few blocks, including a rather steep hill to get between town and the hotel, then this would be a good choice. Each room is an A-frame, which allows for views of the water between units or over their tops. Our room was mostly in good condition, plenty of floor space, and quiet. It was...

Given the mixed reviews, we weren't sure what to expect, but were really pleased with our stay. Booking a lake view room was certainly worth it. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was the only area that needed a serious update. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect- just a few minutes walk...

My Dad and I paid a lot of money for this hotel room and were very disappointed with its quality. This is a budget type hotel charging high-range prices and we didn't get a good value for our money at this hotel. Paint was peeling from the ceiling above the bathtub, the mirror was too low for someone over 6...

Hotel location was great, 5 min walk to center of town. Friendly front desk, very clean hotel room with nice bathroom and nice amenities (Manuka Honey products). Only issue was the parking was very limited and if it was full we were told to find free street parking. Fortunately we found parking and were able to leave our car there...

I stay here on business regularly. Whilst the rooms (that I've stayed in) are dated and older looking the service is fantastic and friendly. The best thing about this hotel is it's locality, very close to Queenstown township, just 5 minutes walk away. Would recommend to all.

Close to town but a very steep hill to climb. No handy stores for soda/pop or snacks. Can't go for a quick coffee and bun/croissant. On sight restaurant expensive. Can hear traffic and other patrons....very noisy room. Nice size bed and spot for 2 pieces of luggage.

Dear WorkToTravel_1111 Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We would like to point out that we do have a vending machine with various snacks and fizzy drinks, there are also snacks available at the bar. All our barista coffee's are $4 each, we also have the option to buy a reusable coffee cup for $6 coffee...

Heartland hotel sits on top of hill with views of beautiful Queenstown. Just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Queenstown. Of course easier walking down hill then up hill but worth the quiet close location to village. Nice sized clean room with great decks for views. I liked the architecture of the hotel felt like a ski...

One doesn't visit Queenstown to stay in a hotel room, so this one was perfectly fine for my overnight stay during a South Island tour. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and there was complimentary WiFi. The downside: my room overlooked a busy street, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise. It also struck me as being...

Great value, good views, convenient to downtown, laundry facilities.... Staff attentive, efficient, and helpful. Great breakfast spread, one of best that we have experienced in NZ, would definitely recommend and advise using and return to, look forward to staying in other properties that they have at Fox Glacier!

We stayed here two nights recently. We were excited to come to Queenstown and we checked in, with the saddest looking Staff member at the counter. (She was training from her badge.) She never once smiled or looked in our eyes to comment. We were given a room in the middle tiers in the 300's. The room/building is very dark,...
