Close to town but a very steep hill to climb. No handy stores for soda/pop or snacks. Can't go for a quick coffee and bun/croissant. On sight restaurant expensive. Can hear traffic and other patrons....very noisy room. Nice size bed and spot for 2 pieces of luggage.

Heartland hotel sits on top of hill with views of beautiful Queenstown. Just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Queenstown. Of course easier walking down hill then up hill but worth the quiet close location to village. Nice sized clean room with great decks for views. I liked the architecture of the hotel felt like a ski...

One doesn't visit Queenstown to stay in a hotel room, so this one was perfectly fine for my overnight stay during a South Island tour. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and there was complimentary WiFi. The downside: my room overlooked a busy street, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise. It also struck me as being...

Great value, good views, convenient to downtown, laundry facilities.... Staff attentive, efficient, and helpful. Great breakfast spread, one of best that we have experienced in NZ, would definitely recommend and advise using and return to, look forward to staying in other properties that they have at Fox Glacier!

We stayed here two nights recently. We were excited to come to Queenstown and we checked in, with the saddest looking Staff member at the counter. (She was training from her badge.) She never once smiled or looked in our eyes to comment. We were given a room in the middle tiers in the 300's. The room/building is very dark,...

The room smelled the minute we opened the door and never cleared. It was so bad I looked up other hotels in the same area to move for the 2nd night but there wasn't anything available. Bathroom was very old and tired and needs a good revamp. Carpet had stains on it that were very sticky when you walked on...

Checked in ok and were given room 110 on the front row. Rooms are spacious but feel a little youth hostel-y. Bed however was very comfy. You do get quite a bit of road noise which didn't help my jet lagged attempts to sleep. Someone took our car park space too which made it difficult getting in and out of...

We stayed in room 108 and bathroom/toilet was too old. There was black mold in there and some parts were chipped out or broken. Our room was in the front row so we had a relatively good view of the lake but at the same time we had the street noise as well. Room was old but clean. Staff and...

Loved this place We stayed in the A-frame style room and it was cozy and very comfy. Close to town, easy enough walk down hill and just the nicest staff. Clean and runs circles around Rydges around the corner! Do yourself a favour, it's really nice!

We booked a room with a Queen bed, air-con. and partial views, after looking at all the photos, room, hotel etc.on the website..Needless to say we were a bit under whelmed and felt ripped off by having to sleep in seperate beds (2 Double beds) no air conditioning and a view of a concrete wall. We were put in the Scenic...
