This hotel is always our hotel of choice for the region. With level two it means the usual fabulous buffet breakfast is not available, however the amazing à la cart menu had plenty of choices and options, and it was a mouthwatering temptation as to which breakfast option to choose each morning. The staff are super friendly, take time to get to know them, it really makes your visit much more enjoyable. My wife and I are regulars at the same hotel for years during our regular work visits, and we so value them. I will write a separate report on the restaurant as the food itself is amazing, we dined in several evenings and had several different choices each time .

Wow! What a amazing stay! I cannot wax lyrical enough about just how much we were impressed by the team and the hotel itself. From booking to checkout - everything was seamless within only 2 minor hiccups Special mention to Sophie at reception who went out of her way to ensure everything I had asked for was delivered - thank you so very much for making our 20th anniversary a stand out occasion! Our Alpine 1 Bedroom Suite with Balcony and Lake View was immaculate, clean and spacious - with a pillow menu - soft robes and even slippers on offer. Our room itself, situated on the 6th floor, provided incredible views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. We were lucky to have one of the few larger balconies so we could sit on the outdoor chairs and soak in the crisp alpine air. Yes there is a steep hill to climb up on the way back to the hotel - but at about 400m (and if you stop halfway up for a breather) from town it’s a small price to pay for location and views. Only 2 gripes - I am a large woman (sz18) and I found the bath towels too small - perhaps the hotel could look at a option to order larger bath sheets (like you order off the pillow menu). The second gripe was on our last breakfast, the team forgot our cutlery. Small tweaks. Once again, thank you so very much Team St Moritz for providing us with an exceptional stay. We will be back!

We haven’t stayed in the hotel since about 2018, and things have changed a lot! St Moritz remains an excellent experience. The staff are professional, helpful and care for their work. We can’t rate the hotel enough in difficult times and look forward to it leading the way when better times come. In the meantime - there couldn’t be a better place to stay in Queenstown.

Thank you very much BNorthwood for taking the time to write - I'm very glad to read that whilst things have changed (immeasurably almost), the experience remains excellent in your view. Your appreciation of the difficult times we have been experiencing over the past year is genuinely received, and I couldn't be more delighted that in your view, we're the best play to stay in Queenstown. Until next time.

Seriously, you’re charging $35 per night to park a car in your hotel? I’ve stayed in dozens of Queenstown hotels and never paid for parking ever. You didn’t even have the courtesy to tell us in advance so we could book elsewhere. Your hotel is virtually empty - You should be encouraging guests, not stinging them with fees immediately upon arrival.

Thank you spurner_nz for your review - I'm so sorry that you didn't see our parking charges online and whilst booking. We do try to ensure our guests are forewarned of such things as we understand where there are user-pays services, its great to make a choice in advance. You're right, we are indeed welcoming of every guest right now, and as with other centrally located Queenstown properties, user pays parking is quite common. I hope that aside from the parking your visit to Queenstown was an enjoyable one. Kind regards Jo Finnigan General Manager

We had a fabulous 7 nights here and it was a perfect getaway. The best part was the staff - they were just so welcoming, friendly and professional - and nothing was too much trouble - had a few great chats with some really lovely interesting people. We dined in the restaurant twice and the food was simply excellent - it really was. We stayed in a one bedroom lake view suite and it was definitely worth the upgrade. The view is spectacular, the suite spacious and nicely decorated - it was refined and well thought out rather than ostentatious. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was large with great pressure, the bath was deep, nice furniture including big sofa, and extras like the coffee machine - ticked all the must haves - and felt like a nice quiet ‘home’ to come back to after busy days (straight up to our floor from the car park). Easy walk to town and restaurants - but perfect to have a great restaurant there when you couldn’t be bothered going out again. Our thanks to the staff. We will be back (it’s now our third stay).
