The good: The view out the window. Gorgeous scenery looking right over the lake. We woke up to snow falling which was amazing! The bed is very comfortable although the 'king' was 2 singles pushed together and therefore a lump in the middle. The lobby upgrade is very nice. Staff were friendly and I think the manager was really lovely...

Stayed at Rydges for a business conference. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from the centre of town and is on the lake waterfront. The foyer, bar and restaurant are well presented and look recently modernised. However the rooms and corridors are somewhat dated. The rooms are adequate, with mine having two double beds and ensuite with a great view...

Rydges from the outset is a beautiful hotel the exterior is stunning architecture and the foyer entry is beautiful. This is where it begins and ends for me. 2 Months before my stay I booked my accommodation and requested a room with a Lake View. When I arrived I was asked immediately for my credit card in case of phone...

Well what can I say. It's a beautiful hotel on entry but after that it's anyone's guess. I did not get the beds I requested nor did I realise i would be awake most of the night either listening to the water tank refill that was above my bathroom or listening to the children and other people sitting outside my...

There's the good and the bad with this hotel. It is really well positioned on the shores of the lake. It has amazing views (avoid the ground and mezzanine levels because then you'll look at cars then the view!). The rooms are clean, comfortable but dated, but will be updated over time as part of the hotel's renovation. My room...

Price: We paid $578 for a suite which i feel wasn't worth the money i paid for it. Distance to shops/restaurants: 10mins walking distance Size of room: good sized room and living area Features of room: 2 TVs, 1 big bed, living area has 2 sofas and a table. I absolutely hated the bathroom, who makes showers in bath tubs...

The room wasn't that cheap but it was clean and had great views. The bathroom is something out of the last century and that was disappointing. At nearly $250 per night, I wouldn't think I would have to pay for an espresso coffee at breakfast but there you go. They lost my pre-approved authority on my credit card so I'm...

Fantastic room, with 2 double beds. Very clean and tidy. Great view of the lake. Handy to all the shops. Park outside on the street and you can stay all day for free. Staff were very helpful and they up graded us for no extra cost.

Great location, beautiful scenery close to town and within walking distance. Fantastic and helpful staff. Great meals available in hotel or within walking distance. Nice rooms some with a waterfront view. Loved it all.

Parking can be challenging - check availability before checking in Difficult to get to my room due to repairs being undertaken - had to take lift, then go down a series of stairs to my room. A little difficult when lugging my bags etc.. Bathroom was 'shabby' which was disappointing Room noisy with passing traffic
