Good hotel in this part of the country. We had a room on the top floor and we had a view of both mountains and part of Queenstown. would have liked to stay more as the service and the food at breakfast was great.

As keen hikers, we have stayed at Melbourne Lodge on many previous occasions pre and post hiking. The hotel has recently enjoyed a refurbishment and the bathrooms have been nicely upgraded. The guest lounge area is pleasant and relaxing. The included breakfast is very simple. The owners will store luggage for you.

We stayed here twice - one night at the start of our trip and one night at the end. The rooms were beautiful and light. Short walk into town - the hill didn't bother us. The communal area and deck have amazing views over the lake and are lovely places to relax. Continental breakfast was a plus! Would definitely stay...

If you can handle the steep climb out of town to the Melbourne bed and breakfast you're in for a treat. Relaxed, cheap and clean accommodation - our room was big, warm, clean and had a private balcony. Good parking out the back - recommended. Can't comment about breakfast cos we slept in - the beds are extra comfy!
