My husband and I spent one night at QCL in January. I hadn't secured all our accommodations in NZ in advance, and I booked our one night online a few days in advance, expecting no more than a quick sleep before hiking on. The Lodge was a challenge for our GPS to find, but after a couple of wrong turns...

Hi Sandy and Tom! thank you so much for your wonderful review! You described the lodge superbly! We have to say that being good hosts is easy when we have such amazing guests; very worldly, compassionate and interesting conversationalists! We think we do coffee pretty well over here and are always keen to up-skill our American friends in the subtle...

We stayed with 5 persons in 3 of the beautiful rooms at the lodge for 5 nights. Sandy and Ian were fantastic host, and fantastic cooks both the cooked breakfast and the dinners were fabulous. The location of the lodge is perfect close to Queenstown but still really in the countryside.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for one night only, and after being there we wish we had booked a couple nights longer.. Ian and Sandy are the bests hosts you could wish for; so open and friendly! They made us feel at home from the first moment. The lodge itself is beautifully located, easy to reach right on the highway...

We arrived at Queenstown Country Lodge on Christmas Day, and it was like coming to a friend's house! Ian and Sandie were the best hosts we could imagine and made us feel welcome at once. Together with them and other guests we enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner, and that really put us into the Christmas mood we thought we wouldn't...

Ian and Sandy, of MKR fame, do a wonderful job making you feel at home in their beautiful B and B. Set outside of Queenstown, but an easy 10 minute drive in, the rooms re huge and very well appointed. Breakfast (and dinner if you want) are cooked to perfection, and the wine tasting and after dinner chats are great...

Where to begin...owners Ian and Sandie are consummate hosts, excellent cooks and great conversationalists. They made us feel immediately at home. The room was very spacious including walk-in closet and a very luxurious bathroom. Every detail down to luggage scales, (believe me, very important towards the end of a long trip when you have been accumulating gifts, etc.) The location...

The original owners of this place have now moved on and appointed new managers Ian and Sandie to carry on the good work. The house itself was built to the highest standards, no bling or gold-plated bathroom fittings, just high quality understated elegance.
