The hostel itself was lovely, clean rooms, TV with loads of films and a cafe downstairs in reception. The wifi worked but was very slow and unfortunately no working kitchen to prepare food yourself but the cafe downstairs was reasonable and you get discount for staying there. Laundry services available too. Good showers! But invercargill itself was not very exciting...

This is a alright little hostel. Better than most Iv been in! The place was big and spacious, which was nice, and the staff were really friendly. I had a good nights sleep (I just wish the pillows were bigger!) although the bunks were so squeaky and rickety that when ever someone so much as breathes they made noise! The...

I stayed in a very cosy ensuite room which had the heaters on and so cosy on arrival. TV with lots of channels and hot shower in the morning - what more could you want. Breakfast selection looked good to at their breakfast bar.

Stayed for one night with Bottom Bus tour on the way to the Catlands. It was the middle of winter with snow in some area we passed through. My room was warm, comfortable, quiet. I would happily stay their again.

We stayed a couple of nights in a 10-bed dorm. It was a rainy week and even after we got the heater to work, the room just never lost this really bad damp and foul smell you get from wet clothes. We also found it quite disturbing that housekeeping always left our room door wide open while they were making...

Booked a 4 room dorm which was clean, tidy and very quiet on our stay. A special mention to Kay because she has wonderful customer service. She checked us in and out and served us breakfast in the morning. Thanks Kay!

I was the only 1 sent to sleep in the basement, even though there were only about 25 people staying that night. No window, no heating, no one to hear if I screamed. The female receptionist insisted that "there were no other vacant beds." The young male receptionist said, "Take room 15. We're practically empty." The windows were broken, no...

Dryers doesn't dry clothes properly, ended up packing wet clothes. When I went to complain, reception said there was nothing they could do as they don't own the machines... They had no contact details for the company and were uninterested in my complaint. Room was very small and beds were squeaky 🙁

Didn't know what to expect when I rolled into this place. Large open lobby in building. The desk clerk had more piercings than Baskin/ Robbins has flavors. Turns out that this is an excellent place to crash. Excellent wifi, comfortable bunks, adequate kitchen and the lobby cafe is a treat. Located on the main drag. Bus station and Subway sandwiches...
