Room size is quite decent with all the basics provided. However, the room is not really clean with soil stains on the chair. The top layer of the bed sheet is dark gray in color and is dusty. The toilet is clean, but the light was flickering and there are chips on the sink and sink top. The cleaners should...

This is not a modern hotel by any standards, but is excellent value in a very central location. The rooms are what you would expect for the age and were very clean and comfortable with good heating. The Bathrooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Our room rate included a full buffet breakfast and the staff also...

Kelvin Hotel is an older trust hotel, under some rennovation, but is surprisingly good. Right in the middle of Invercargill, if there is actually a 'middle'. Room was spotless, a good size and everything we needed. We arrived un-booked and received a good rate from a very welcoming and helpful front desk staff. Room on the 6th floor with a...

Good Morning, We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Restaurant staff are normally very talkative I am guessing they were busy when you came in. But we are glad to provide you all you needed. Aaron

Located in the middle of Invercargill, this is probably the most convenient place to stay for business. Unfortunately, a new bathroom does not make a nice hotel. The heater could only be turned off with the assistance of staff (by turning the power supply off), and it is an extremely noisy place. No double glazing, and in Invercargill people seem...

Thank you for you response. As you could tell we are currently renovating the lobby. Heating as with most hotels of the type is via a radiator system, when we have mild weather such as we have been having this makes the hotel much warmer. Aaron

This is a standard Hotel. The rooms were sufficient. The toilet very narrow and cramped. There's a good Irish pub on the second floor and also a pub on the lower floor. Did not eat in the restaurant but it looked nice. Very central to town with valet parking. The staff we met were fine except the receptionist on the...

Hello Azornator, Thank you for staying with us. All rooms have a slightly different layout with renovations having started on the 2nd. Valet parking makes us a very convenient location to get in and out off. Aaron

You can no longer stay here as a hotel, they are renovating it for student accomodation for the University students. The bar at least is still functioning but you have to avoid the fencing around the rest of the hotel while work is being carried out.

Hello ibaas2016, I have no idea how you managed to assume we are becoming student accommodation? but that is very much fabricated. We are undergoing a refurbishment to maintain the hotel and upgrade our total guest experience. Currently we are upgrading the lifts and the reception area which is a very exciting process. Aaron

The bar staff in the sports bar were excellent the reception is not so good everything felt like it was hard work didn't make you feel welcome the rooms are clean and spacious and the food was good quality and value for money there was an Irish bloke in reception who fetch your car he was very friendly and welcoming...

Stayed here a night unplanned. Fantastic location in the heart of invercargill, near the mall and walking distance from the supermarket and others. Older hotel (I first came by in 2003!) ... but in good upkeep. Clean, warm and nothing to complain about. Service was helpful. There are newer hotels in Invercargill ... but from driving around town, I think...

We ended up here following a booking mix up elsewhere. Great location, rooms super clean. Older style building with parking available. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bathroom is retrofitted, and seems new.

Not the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed at, but our rooms were spacious and clean. It's a dated hotel but not shabby and the staff were so delightful and fun, they made our stay one to be remembered.
