The scenic hotel was picked for our stop on Dunedin. It was a very good and modern hotel. Good teas and bath products and lotions provided in the room. We had a king size bed. It is a good location with everything in walking distance. Breakfast and supper were both good here.

We were very pleased with our room here, including a small kitchenette area in the upstairs sitting room. Very comfortable bedding! The central location in Dunedin is a very big plus. You can walk to all the downtown attractions very easily from the hotel.

Booked a Superior room and when we entered the 3rd floor room which faced the street and evening sun the temperature was close to 30 degrees. We looked for the air conditioning that the website told us this and the smaller Standard room has but could not locate. We phoned reception and said think we are in the wrong room...

Thank you for your feedback. I am afraid I was unaware that there were any websites stating the fact that we had Air Conditioning as this should not be the case. I have since found the online travel agent website you must have seen and we have instructed them to make the changes. I am sorry that you were misled...

Had two nights here. Loved the little touches like a coffee plunger with real coffee, detergent for handwashing.Large room and easy accces to great coffee shops around the octogon. Friendly and helpful staff. Having to pay for parking hurt the wallet a bit but the convenience made up for it.

We had 3 separate stays over Christmas/New Year, when the hotel was pretty quiet. This might have affected the restaurant staff - they weren't particularly attentive or efficient. But this is our only negative comment. Reception staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful. We were in Executive King rooms, which meant plenty of space. There was an array of sockets and various...

We pulled into town the day of the hill fire and it was a little smoky but the beauty of Dunedin still shone through. We checked into our room and we loved all the extra touches provided. The amenities were top rate and the room was lovely! The bed was amazing and we can't say enough about the staff! We...

Room was beautiful, very cosy and clean. Bathrooms could use a remodel as is outdated, but nonetheless a good facility. Had breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, the waitstaff were so efficient, and polite. Best service I've had, unique quality. Overall good experience, would most certainly come back!

Attentive, pleasant and efficient reception staff. Even more impressive staff member who checked on the levels of all breakfast supplies doggedly to make sure everything was topped up. Room spacious and in our case had a view of the harbour. Bed a little spongy though. Very close to main shopping street and restaurants near by. Window could be opened for...

Thanks for the great review, I am glad we were able to look after you so well. Sorry about the bed seeming spongy - we have a thick feather and down topper on the bed which gives a lovely sinking feeling when you lay on the bed but this can easily be removed by our team if it is not...
