A cosy fire, beautiful views of Hoopers Inlet, secluded but only a minute from Portobello with a great cafe, bistro and restaurant and store, and very close to some of Dunedin's best attractions, this is a great spot. Wonderful hosts who thoughtfully leave you fresh home baked bread, organic milk, a selection of jams , butter and a coffee machine...

Hereweka Garden Retreat is perfect for one or two; a crystal-clean modern architect-designed retreat perched high on the side of the Harbour Cone (a Dunedin Peninsula landmark) and within an easy kilometer or two of several beautiful beach walks, sea lions, albatrosses and penguins. Glass walls open to experience being part of the garden, with charming birdsong, and long views...

We had an immensely enjoyable three night stay in this uniquely designed cottage - great energy and wonderful setting. The gravel road to the cottage is not without its challenges but at the end it is well worth it to get such a view and surrouded by nature The cottage is full of light with excellent facilities - all the amenities...

From the moment we arrived at Hereweka Retreat, my daughter and I felt the magic. This is a oasis within an oasis That is the Otago Peninsula. The views from every window, even the shower!! Are astonishing. It is perfectly appointed, cozy and the breakfast trays are perfect. Our favorite place on our whole 2 week trip to New Zealand.

What can I saw about this truly wonderful retreat. Anne and Peter have created a lovely place to stay with all mod cons and lovely personal touches. Out on the Otago Pensinula and within a 5 minute drive of one of the most beautiful beaches in the South Island we could have stayed for many more nights. Anne's freshly baked...

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Hereweka for our wedding anniversary - the accommodation was peaceful and tidy and the hosts were very friendly - but also gave us lots of space and time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounds. We chose to have a meal cooked for us by Danielle - Chef at home, and this...

A great time. Our own cottage in seclusion with a magnificent Otago view. Very comfortable, neat design, and roomy cottage. Our hosts provided all the makings for a wonderful breakfast that we cooked. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights here early December during our 6 1/2 week holiday in New Zealand, it is a lovely location and so peaceful, the accommodation is very well equipped and the home made bread was so nice, unfortunately we did not get to meet Anna but we found Peter very friendly and helpful. If you are looking to stay...
