Wonderfull stay with beautifull host.... Really nice country atmosphere, simple but comfotable cottage and well stock kitchen and fridge. Love the chickens messing about in the garden and you could sometimes hear the sheeps up on the hill slope and the sea gulls behind the dropoff cliff and see the ducks come strolling in the morning. Great place to stay...

We stayed at Blackhead cottage from 27/11/16 to 9/12/16. It was a beautiful experience. The cottage is self-contained, clean and cosy. Just a short walk behind the cottage brings us to a spectacular view of the sea. It was delightful waking up to see sheep grazing outside the window. Some nights we spent stargazing in the garden. We also had...

Our stay at at Blackhead Cottage was delightful, very relaxing and a home away from home. The cabin has everything you could possibly need plus a extensive continental breakfast. There was even some eggs from their free range chickens that greet you at the gate when you walk in. There are sheep right outside your window and a walk up...

Thanks Janine, lovely to have your family to stay. I can't promise sheep every time - they get moved around from paddock to paddock, but the view from the clifftop is always there, and so are the chickens!

Fully self contained with everything you need. From the start directions to the property given were perfect. Plenty of room to spread out, great walks to go on (even with gum boots supplied for the mud), Just over the hill approximately 300mts is spectacular beach line overlooking the cliffs. A lovely breakfast of cereals, yoghurt, fresh bread, croissants and orange...

We stayed four nights in this excellent farm stay / B&B on the outskirts of Dunedin. Conveniently located for Dunedin, Otago Peninsula and Tunnel Beach. Emma keeps the fridge and pantry well stocked with fresh breakfast items and the cottage has wifi, videos, games and books for use. A short walk over the field takes you to a bench with stunning...

Everything that a family needs for a comfortable stay (including games sets for children) or that a couple needs for a romantic stay (seclusion, privacy and lovely...

This delightful self-contained cottage adjacent to owner Emma's house is in a wonderful location. There are lovely hillside views from the verandah and just a short walk across a field behind the cottage leads you to a panorama over the South Pacific Ocean. Emma provided everything required for continental breakfast. A ten minute drive gets you into Dunedin or to...

We stayed two nights here on our 22-day round-the-island tour. It was just perfect for us. We felt like we were way out in the country but just five minutes over the hill was the edge of Dunedin city and all of the wonderful attractions it has to offer. It's a family-run place and the children gather the eggs for...

What an absolute Gem !, We stayed 4 nights and could have easily stayed more. Blackhead Cottage is so much more than a cottage and so much more than a B&B, in fact it is the best of all these things. The Cottage is spottlessly clean, warm, and very comfy. Really good breakfast supplied daily for you to eat as...
