I was lucky to spend the night here. It was a cancellation! The B&B is run in conjunction with the pub and cafe next door. Upon arrival, you simply have to go pub to pick up your key! The room had a lovely little patio/garden. Everything was very clean. The only concern was the shower seemed to get water everywhere....

Possibly my favourite place to stay in New Zealand. Beautifully decorated rooms with divine smelling shampoos, soaps etc. A kitchen/reading room where yoghurts, cereal, fruits, coffee, tea, juices are available throughout the day if you are a quest there. And fresh breads and spreads for the morning. It doesn't feel like paid accomodation...rather like someone made their beautiful home available...

We spent one night here. Room and bathroom were really nice. Checking in was a breeze. We just showed up to the pub next door and one of the bartenders let us in. We were there on a Wednesday night and left the bar next door around ten. Pub was still pretty active but we couldn't hear it in our...

Good knowledge of beers on tap with a large selection; unfortunatetly ran out of our first two choices, but one us over with great flight selections and a Berliner Weisse. Staff was helpfull and educated. I would reccomend for a pint and a feed any time. The patio is nice even if you dont smoke as there is a great...

I arrived on Friday, after flying in from San Francisco via Auckland. After having a snack @ Little Pom's café. I was able to check in. The common area kitchen was nicely equipped with a electric kettle for hot tea or coffee. The selection of teas included English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chai, Gunpowder Green and herbal. The coffees are C4...

Its been a few years since we were last here and it was lovely to see the old building survived the big earthquake. More craft beers and delicious pub grub. Our favorite pub snack pork crackling with pear and apple sauce.

I booked this place last minute and wasn't sure what to expect - was pleasantly surprised - the room was cosy and quite - plus had the added benefit of being right next door to the pub which had live music. The breakfast was in the Pomeroy Cafe which was great - the food was so good that we went...

In January , we booked 3 nights , strong positive reviews on this property. We are confident that the reception is fine, however we question the business practices of this institution. Indeed, following a breakdown of our vehicle and immobilization of several days , we were obliged to cancel. The cancellation policy is drastic because if it takes place within...

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on your experience. In regards to our cancellation policy, I appreciate that it is rigid but I ask you to consider our small property only has 5 rooms & a room cancelled on the day heavily impacts us. However not to defend ourselves too much, I will say that...

We had to go to the pub to get the keys to the Inn. Immediately, I was impressed with the hospitality, everyone was so nice. There is big common kitchen in the Inn. I loved it for reading the paper and catching up on my journal with a cup of tea. A really nice calm ending to our 3 week...
