Absolutely superb, soft carpet underfoot after a long day of walking, very clean and comfortable beds, beautiful decor, shower pressure was awesome, we stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was quite big too, which was perfect for me, my husband, son and my mum. Hosts were very pleasant and eager to help. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves...

I stayed in this motel for 2 nights with my partner after seeing it on Tripadvisor. Excellent new room with very high quality fixtures and fittings. Very clean, modern and tidy bathroom with a spa. Very comfortable bed. Flat screen TV x 2. $10 WiFi internet for 24 hours. Friendly owner. Good location close to city and major routes. Carpark...

So many reasons why I love to stay here - Pauline and Brendan and their staff are the biggest reason, but also love the rooms for their open plans, amenities (like coffee & tea, nice sized fridge, table service for three, dishwashing and laundry facilities, electric blankets, spa bath, large, spacious bathroom), and the location. Windows on opposite sides of...

When we checked in, I specifically asked for a quiet room, off the main road, as the motel is on the intersection of two fairly busy roads (Bealey and Columbo). We were assured that the bedrooms faced away from the road and were quiet. While the bedroom we had did face away from the road, the back of the bedroom...

We were beyond pleasantly surprised with Salerno. To be honest we don't normally stay in motels and had initially booked the George as a sort of splurge finale for our nearly 3 weeks on the South Island. Then I saw all the Tripadvisor reviews and figured we'd be spending plenty here already. We were so pleased we didn't stay at...

We chose Salerno Motel as base camp for a two week stay on the South Island, and it was the right choice! This isn't some chain motel. The owners, Brendan and Pauline, along with their staff, treat you as if you're guests in their house and go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are crispy-clean, with...

While travelling with friends in New Zealand recently we had the very good fortune of staying at Del Salerno. Great location, ideal apartment for 2 couples travelling together. Our hosts Pauline & Brendan were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely blown away by their hospitality. We were very impressed and woud stay there again.

A stylish motel in a very convenient location, just a short stroll to centre of town for restaurants, shops, museum and park, but well placed for access to roads for airport and further afield. Friendly owners Brendan and Pauline are on site and offer an efficient service in a relaxed manner.

I have stayed here several times now and will continue to stay on my visits to Ch-Ch. I have sumed up my comments above. The hosts are great and friendly. Plus step outside your room and smell the roses, literally, their gorgeous gardens are bloom at the moment
