We decided to stay here for a couple of nights based on the recommendations of others. We were greeted by the most charming housekeeper who made us feel welcome immediately. The experience is one of comfort and being looked after like no other hotel does it. Where else serves you breakfast with manuka honey or natural honeycomb. To say nothing...

we were warmly greeted by Peter and quickly shown to our room. The room was at the back of the property and was a bit dark but I put this down to the scaffolding that was up next door which was being renovated at the time of our visit. The shower room was also quite small but the property was...

Stayed here during 3 night break in Christchurch. Lovely gem of a B&B very close to Botanic Gardens. Easy walking distance to city centre and very close to good tourist information office. Excellent choice of breakfast in a very sociable atmosphere. Pleasant room and bathroom, although view obscured a bit by scaffolding from neighbouring building works. Great hosts and a...

While I am not one who normally likes the B&B style - the classic villa is lovely. I was in room 7 - which was quite small, but had all that you needed. The breakfast in the morning was varied and more than I expected - with coffee being made and a large variety of foods. With Christchurch still in...

The first impression is not all that favorable. Might be a problem finding parking space. The hotel itself does not really look all that modern. We had a problem unlocking and locking our door which was finally resolved when you knew the trick. It is quiet and you sleep well. The breakfast is a sit down for all at the...

I spent 3 weeks sleeping in my van and one of the best decisions I made was to splurge on a room here for my last night. Comfy beds a powerful hot shower, laundry, big breakfast and great wifi! It's walking distance to so many things and I got a really good deal at bookings.com ~M

Classic Villa enjoys an enviable location - just off the street from the Christchurch Botanical Garden and Canterbury Museum. The restored beautiful Tram passes right in front of the hotel. Many of the City Centre attractions are at walking distance from the hotel. The Classic Villa is set in a period building, lovingly restored and maintained. Ms. Avril and her...

Older style house and our room was good. Comfortable Shared lounge and kitchen facilities were excellent and a fantastic breakfast was provided. Conveniently located with only a 5 minute walk to the city centre. Limited parking for 6 cars, but can park in the street free after 6pm.

We had a very well furnished and equipped suite and enjoyed the excellent selection for continental breakfast at the communal table. The hotel is just a minute walk from the museum and Hayley Park. A tram stop is right outside the door or you can walk to cathedral Square in 5-10 mins
