We stayed at Merivale Manor twice in August, both times in one of the three bedroom apartments across the road from the old manor house. The apartment was really well equipped and the beds were super comfy. Also well heated. Breakfast (milk, cereal, bread for toast and butter, jam, etc) was provided free which was a pleasant surprise. Good restaurants...

We have stayed here three times in the last month or so. It's brilliant. We've stayed in manor suites each time, rather than in the modern motel rooms which are in front of the manor building. We will continue to choose manor rooms. We've only had amazing service. They've upgraded us 2 out of 3 times we've stayed. Beautiful, characterful...

I spent 3 nights staying in the main manor house. The Te Wepa suite allows you to use the main front door of the manor house leading into your 2 bedroom, fully furnished apartment. You can easily slip into a dream that you're in the Deep South. Everything in the apartment is furnished to a high standard and the decor...

Stayed twice during our southern circle tour . The property is well placed centrally in town and also boutique . Rooms are old fashioned and big. Facilities are adequate. The merivale mall is very close but do drive out 5 mins to visit northern land mall also within striking distance for variety. Eateries are strewn along the road so you...

Our last night in NZ was made perfect by staying is this amazing place. My husband and I stayed in the big house and we definitely didn't want to leave. After a week of skiing the bed was a welcome relief providing so much comfort. We felt so welcome and instantly felt at home. All the small details definitely made...

We stayed in 3 bed apartment, the room was whisper quiet and the beds were really comfortable so great night sleep, it was spotlessly clean, and warm, (love the underfloor heating). Location was fantastic, walking distance to great restaurants and not too far from city centre. Staff were fantastic and the supply of cereal, milk and toast was an added...

Lovely hosts and really nice rooms, very clean with breakfast necessities provided. Close to so many things in Christchurch, only a few minutes walk to Merivale shops. It was so nice to find kiwi hosts. We had a motel unit near the front, but it was still pretty quiet, we barely heard any traffic. The quality and maintenance has been...

We travelled as a family, with two teenagers and found this accommodation terrific and central to shops and restaurants. We had a family room and it had everything we needed. Our hosts were great and we really enjoyed our stay.

Sharlene and Graham were amazing hosts. They were willing to go the extra mile - looking after our luggage after checking out, arranging taxis to be there to take us to the airport. The little touches during our stay - the rose with the towels, the airing of the rooms every day, small details but they added to the ambiance...
