The kitchen was excellent; spacious and clean. Stayed in a mixed dorm room for 6. I was on the top bunk and found a dead bug on my bed. The room was a little stuffy. Other than that it was good and clean. Towels provided and the staff was nice enough to send them up to the room. Neighbourhood can... More

This is a great place to stay. Good location. Quiet - slept well. Kitchen odors came up the stairs and were strong in my room, but I was able to open the window and air it out. Clean. Large kitchen well stocked.

This YHA has excellent facilities, extreme cleanliness and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very well maintained, the beds extremely comfortable, and the kitchens are large and well supplied.

I stayed twice in June each time for just one night. I had a lovely clean 4 bunk room, the first night to myself. The room and whole house was very clean and had good facilities. The bathrooms on the floor I stayed on were out of order for renovations, however this wasn't an issue as there were others downstairs.... More

It is located near with few attractions and it is just a walking distance to the Hagley Park, Canterbury Museum and Restart Mall. Though it is a lil bit small compared to other YHA, i really enjoy my stay there.

Clean, nice rooms, decent number of showers/toilets, it all worked well. Good and organised staff and a great location in the centre of Christchurch. I'd be more than happy to stay here again next time I'm in town.

Absolutely love hostels like this. The building was aesthetically pleasing which isn't always a good sign. However, upon entering the foyer I was assured otherwise. As per usual with YHA's the reception was first rate. Also consistent was the cleanliness and ease of access to facilities. Located across the street from the "Gardens" I found this to be a plus....
