This B&B was very cozy and comfortable, and best of all private. There is a separate entrance right into the main room/bedroom and an ensuite large bath with a great shower which was delightful after long travels and a rainy, chilly day! The owner, Sally couldn't have been nicer or more perceptive. She didn't insist on chit chat - she...

Featherstone is quite an unusual place to stay. It offers an oasis of tranquility on the outskirts of the city, set back from the road and surrounded by greenery. Sally the proprietor is a delight! She is welcoming, chatty and very easy company with a real love of gardening and delicious home made food. The room was comfortable and spacious,...

Warm, welcoming, comfortable and clean, Featherstone is located just far enough out of town. Easy drive into the city and not far to restaurants either. Very good breakfast. Sally was very helpful with directions etc. The property is well away from the road so is very quiet and our room had its own separate entrance, but shared bathroom. The wifi...

Having lived in Christchurch for a while, you love the city but without a doubt the higher you go the better it gets. Perspective is everything. This was a lovely stay, two uninterrupted nights with a private entrance out onto a comprehensive veggie garden and bird song that just made you breathe deeper. I would return in a heart beat....

We recently returned to Featherstone B & B when Christchurch was very cold. We were relieved to be there as it was very comfortable with a roaring fire in the living room and a cosy comfortable bedroom with direct access to Sally's beautiful and productive garden. The home grown food was as creative and wonderful as last time and we...

Featherstone B&B is a short 20 mins drive from the airport, and we stayed here on our 1st as well as last day of our family trip in NZ. 8 of us ( 6 adults, 2 children aged 5 & 3 ) occupied the entire B&B, with 2 double rooms, and 2 single rooms. There is 1 double room, 1...

this lovely b and b is hosted by Sally, a wonderfully warm and kind gardener, cook and inn keeper. Our unit was private with gorgeous views out over her gardens. We were well cared for and able to make our adjustment to the time zone in this nice little eden. Breakfast was delicious!

We picked B&B's on our trip to help the local economy as best we could. I was so glad we chose Featherstone. Sally was welcoming, helpful, and very conversational. As soon as we arrived we saw a hedgehog in her garden, nice, and what a garden, just exploding with beautiful organic produce. We were in an end room, more like...

Wonderful garden, a friendly host Sally and wholesome natural foods for the breakfast spread as per other reviews. A minor challenge to find the correct driveway perhaps some subtle signage on Cashmere rd? Overall a lovely place to stay and a short drive to the city

Good little B & B just out of central Christchurch. Nice clean room overlooking lovely garden with own entrance, car parking. As its out of the city it is nice and quiet. Sally the host was lovely, very welcoming, and served a delicious breakfast. Breakfast included homegrown/made items and was very tasty. The only down fall to this place is...

“I believe there are only 2 rooms (2 double rooms and 1 single room that can be added for families traveling together) - we stayed in the room that most of the pictures show, I did not see the other room. I loved this one for the great view and sunny outlook but the other room may feel more private (not sure I never saw it though)”
