Lilac Rose B&B was beautiful - the house is well appointed and our room was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was awesome - Dennis' home made tomato sauce was a stand out. Wifi signal strong (something we haven't experienced at all places!) Would definitely stay again.

This was my second stay at lilac rose. Such a lovely place. We had three rooms all of which were charming, spotless and comfortable. The hosts went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome without being intrusive. This place is a real gem! I would happily go back again.

Parking is only in the public street. The owner welcomed us and brought us to the attic room. Positive: free wifi, nice look and feel, comfy bed. Can be improved: bathroom is across the hall, the owner assured us that the room next to the bathroom was only used for administration so a lot of privacy. But the full evening...

My husband and I stayed a night in the attic room and it was lovely. Dennis, our host, was informative about the local area and really laid back which made the stay very relaxing. The house and room are beautiful, as is the second living room which we had to ourselves for the evening. A great end to our New...

We only stayed for one night but could not have been made more welcome. The building itself is beautiful and surrounded by a well-tended garden. Our room was comfortable and far larger and better appointed than we expected. Pam, our host, was very welcoming and was there to cook a delicious breakfast in the morning. She was even kind enough...

It felt as though we had dropped in to stay with friends for the night as Pam and Dennis were absolutely wonderful company! The rooms were cosy and very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. This is a super B and B in Christchurch, 10 mins from the centre. It's a superb Edwardian Villa with lots of period charm. Pam and Dennis were excellent hosts , on arrival tea and cakes were served. Baking by Dennis. We stayed in the Garden Room which was a tad small but cosy. The bed was very comfortable and...

If you want to see the interior of a classic New Zealand wood-frame home, this B&B is for you. The owners, Pam and Denis, are friendly and helpful. They offer an excellent breakfast in their bright, charming, fascinatingly decorated day-room and adjoining kitchen, with a lovely view of a large and well tended garden. For dinner they recommended an Indian...
