Very comfortable setting, spotless clean room, and most notably warm hospitality are what you will find at the Straw Lodge. The owners, Barry and Trudy, would do everything to ensure our stay there was as perfect as it could be. We really enjoyed every moment and would not think twice to stay there next time in town. Very well done...

We only stayed one night in this lodge on our way from Abel Tasman to Northern Island. We wanted to do a quick wine tour and needed one night stay. The Lodge is great. Rooms are outstanding and spacious. Great breakfast and exceptional hospitality (host booked great restaurant for us and took the trouble to drive us over). Recommended

We were lucky to find Straw Lodge and their wonderful hosts Trudy and Barry. They made our stay so memorable. The two cottages are adjoining and tucked right in the Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc vines. The rooms have a king bed, min fridge, wonderful shower and couch. Their local knowledge made our trips to the various wineries much easier...

The only negative to the Straw Lodge is its out of the way location. Once you have found it it's superb. Peacefully set amongst the vineyards the property is a real gem. Rooms are spacious, spotless, comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine made from the grapes on the property. Our host Trudy made reservations for dinner...

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this incredible property. Trudy and Barry are warm and wonderful hosts. We were greeted with a welcome sign and had brownies, chocolates and cookies waiting in our room. The property is beautiful and pictures do not do it justice. You will not regret your time here! Thank you Trudy and...

You can almost smell the Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc grapes from your room. The room appointments are spot-on. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The Marlborough region is pure delight. Wineries are everywhere. Enjoy!

The lodge is situated in a wonderful location and the room we stayed in was supreme. We spent a very relaxing time. Sitting in the spa pool under a thousand stars was a highlight. Barry and Trudy are fantastic hosts who went the extra mile to accommodate us.

We returned after eight years to find new owners Trudy and Barry who have continued and exceeded our memories of years past. The Straw Lodge is a top shelve property. Trudy looked after all our needs and anticipated them. Our room was immaculate. The bicycles we had were wonderful to ride through their vineyard and the area. The Straw Lodge...

A new standard has been set at The Strawlodge. As a hospitality professional myself, I can be a bit difficult to impress but the hosts at The Strawlodge did just that. A small, 2-suite b&b- The Strawlodge was the perfect place for my wife and I on holiday celebrating our 5-year anniversary. We were greeted with a personalized sign, welcoming...

We stayed at Straw Lodge in Dec 2016 during a trip around NZ with our baby daughter and it was one of the highlights of our stay. Gorgeous accommodation, incredible views and an absolutely amazing stay. Trudy was fantastic - she helped book restaurants for us (actually contacted us in advance to do this), made us a lovely breakfast (with...
