Nice boutique hotel, centrally located in the city, very friendly staff. Restaurant is outstanding. The rooms are themed and nicely maintained. The restaurant is probably the nicest place to eat in town, some might consider it pricey, but you get what you pay for here.

Thank you so much for your nice review. We are glad that you had a good time at Hotel d'Urville and that you enjoyed our food as well. Our goal is to make the restaurant one of the best in town, and we are so pleased you see it that way! We wish you all the best and hope to...

First impression not helpful, they said there was on site parking but the car park was tiny and unless you have a tiny bubble car, forget it. Parking in the street is metered although God knows why Blenheim is one of the most boring and ugly towns I have ever seen. The room has seen better days, flaking paint, plumbing...

We are sorry to read you were disappointed by what Blenheim has to offer; it certainly is not a vibrant big city. During the November earthquake we got some damage in the plaster work and therefore some walls still look untidy, but this is dealt with soonest - all tradesmen were very busy and then on holidays. With regards to...

I stayed at d'Urville for two nights on a trip to the Marlborough Region with my family and had a wonderful time. The hotel is clean and the staff was very inviting and helpful. Each room has its own "theme", I stayed in the Venus Room which was vibrantly decorated and had large windows to let the day light in....

This is one great review! Thank you so much! We are so glad you have enjoyed staying at the hotel, the Venus room is one of my favourite room indeed. Being friendly and offering good service doesn't cost anything, and I'm very pleased you've enjoyed your dinner and especially the wine list which we are very proud of. Again thank...

This is a unique hotel that still retains original details of the old bank like vault doors. Our room had a beautiful decoration, with Indian furniture, exquisite fabrics, nice bathroom. They have a first class restaurant and bar. The manager was very proud of the hotel and of the restaurant and he had reason to be. The town of Blenheim...

Thank you for your review and nice to read that you liked your stay in the Raja Room and the dining in our restaurant. It was a pleasure to host you and maybe see you back in future.

We were very disappointed as the suite was not well planned, no comfortable lounge type chairs, with low ceiling in bedroom - that you got to by negotiating up steep stairs - hubby banged his head a number of times. Not a good start to our holiday! Staff were polite and friendly but the room was not good. Will not...

We are sorry to read that you did not have a good experience in one of our individually themed rooms during your stay. The room you stayed in - the Retro Room - is very popular and yes, we realise that the ceiling is low at the sides - having the bedroom upstairs though is one of the attractions of...

We chose the very best place to stay, since we experienced an earthquake while we were there. Already more than happy with our accomodation, the care, consideration and help given to us following the disturbed night of the earthquake was outstanding. A great team and we would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

Great refurb of the old city bank building! Memorable and quaint with clean spacious rooms and good service. When we told one of the vintners we visited the name of our hotel, she said it was the nicest place in town - my wife was very impressed! Some of the rooms actually have bank vault doors. And they offered us...

my brother and I came into town and scouted out a few places to stay and eat for the night. we decided on Hotel d'Urville and have no regrets! Dinner was fantastic, service very good, and rooms plenty comfortable. The building and décor are really cool - a 1910s era financial services building with some great original details and fun...

We thoroughly enjoyed the old school feel of a real hotel with its winding red carpet staircase and four posted beds. The decor was very well chosen and the room was magnificent. Floors were a tad creaky but were probably from the turn of the century. Very warm and cosy with great service from everyone we encountered. Loved it!

To visit all the vineyards and cellar doors (tasting rooms) in the Marlborough District, this is a good choice . A renovated bank-like building with themed guest rooms, the D'Urville is the only luxury option I could find in Blenheim. The rooms vary greatly - loved the D'Urville room, hated the Raja room- so look carefully at all the available...
