Stayed here weekend 11/12 Mar17. Its centrally located and clean, but the beads are really small, my feet stuck out even though I am only 5ft 11in. the restaurant serving breakfast was really crowded and we had a half hour wait for our breakfast so we had to rush as check out was 10am..

As always a fantastic stay at the Rydges, one of my favourite places to stay when in Wellington and always fantastic food at portlander. The beer is always cold and the chips always hot! What more could you want.

On our stay we felt welcome, from the start Angie at the front counter helped us and guide us with a really friendly way … the room was perfectly set up for us and the view was just stunning. Close to the beehive and walking distance to Te Papa … the breakfast OMG A+++ we could have breakfast there for...

We stayed for 3 nights in a corner room overlooking Wellington yacht harbour on the 6th floor. Good view if it wasn't raining and grey most of the time. Could hear the traffic so if you got a room higher up then this might be diminished. The room was spacious with a comfy king size bed, desk area, large tv,...

Hotel facilities are good including the excellent restaurant on the ground floor. The room was on the 16th floor with lovely views out towards Parliament. Very quiet. Well located in Wellington and easy walking distance to city and sights. Very much let down by staff. Our room was not serviced despite being out for most of the day. Had to...

We spent 2 nights here and were on the 12th floor which blocked out most of the street noise. The room was small, with kitchenette and traditional shower over bath. We had a city view room which was quite colourful at night. The bed pillows were the hardest we'd ever experienced in a Hotel/Motel. But in fairness we discovered the...

Hi there, Thank you very much for the detailed review, we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We're glad you enjoyed your stay, in particular the great view and convenient location. If only you had seen the pillow menu sooner! Maybe on you next stay you can try a variety of pillows - the lavender one seems...

We had a corner room, 1416, on the 14th floor which meant lots of space, a balcony and views directly of the Parliament buildings and, just, the harbour. The room was really well fitted out with a small kitchenette and facilities to cook/eat in a room. This was a bonus as we had been travelling round NZ for 4 weeks...

This is a very comfortable hotel, modern with very helpful staff. Check in very efficient and location good both for exploring the city and for access to the port. Good facilities offered in both the restaurant and the bar.

We stayed over Christmas - a difficult time to maintain service with few other places open. The staff maintained service with a smile, served an excellent breakfast and gave guidance to where would remain open. We paid extra for a harbour view but this was obscured by the Post Office building (and ugly tower block) and soon will be further...

Hi Chris, Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. It's great to hear you enjoyed your Christmas stay with us, and that our staff were helpful with knowledge of what would and would not remain open. Fortunately the new building cannot be over a certain height, so we will be mostly unaffected....

Travelling as part of month long NZ tour. Nice rooms on 12th floor overlooking the harbour. Comfy beds. Rooms had microwave/oven and sink, so you could cater for yourself. Breakfast very good - great selection, and well done. Staff helpful.
