Mercure Wellington My wife and I are on a round the world trip and 5 of the 8 hotels are Accor group hotels Mercure Wellington is by far the worst, it was nothing more than mediocre Branding on the outside of the hotel in Wellington in many places shows a this to be a “Prime Hotel” which is a different...

Nice enough hotel but thread bare carpet at the entrance made the place look a bit tacky. Paid $140 for the stay which is about average for a 3.5 traveller hotel. BUT They advertise Sky and have a Sky mag but you cant get anything but the basic freeview channels. The cheaper IBIS where I normally stay has SKY and...

This is an older hotel, but the room was clean and we found it a good base location for our visit to Wellington. Be aware that no part of this hotel is air-conditioned. Given Wellington's typical climate this is unlikely to be a huge problem even in summer, but we did need to borrow a small fan (early January) as...

We had to stop in wellington for one night. We arrived really late at night to the hotel, and were please to find a kind an helpful front desk member, overall everyone was really kind and helpful, even though we only stayed for a short period of time. The hotel was in prime condition and so it was the location...

As mentioned in previous reviews you can't beat the Abel Tasman for location and value. We paid around $90 per room/night mid January. We had a standard room with king? and single bed. Room was well appointed with sink, microwave and crockery / utensils. We had booked three rooms of same type but one didn't have these facilities so not...

With great location in the inner city comes noise, I hardly slept both nights due to the noise from the streets, it was loud to say the least. The place also creeks a lot with the wind etc which can be quite noisy. Unfortunately the ear plugs they provide to you are in a bed side table draw and I...

Booked into this hotel as the idea was to eat on site only to be advised Chef was on holiday so only continental breakfast available ( naturally no dinner). If you need to park a vehicle on site then suggest it be fairly small as car park spacing in very narrow.

I stayed here with my sister for 5 nights. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable and the location is superb, within walking distance to pretty much everywhere. The restaurant served beautifully prepared food at very reasonable prices. Wifi was free and hassle-free. What is noteworthy about this hotel though is that our visit coincided with a major earthquake! The...

We had a grabone deal so this was good value. Unfortunately you have to pay for parking at $25 per night. Good location for walking to the shopping areas and bars. Recommend as a place to stay. We had a superior queen room which had plenty of room for a couple, was well maintained and comfortable.

Stayed here with Contiki in January 2017. The location is a winner with this hotel, pretty much in central Wellington. Everything is within walking distance including heaps of tourist sites. Rooms are smallish but with everything you need. Everything was clean and In working order. Only downside being the lifts, these are old and extremely slow. Easier to take the...
