Yes, it looks like Norman and MOther Bates are in residence but the place was clean, the internet was superb, kitchens well equipped and service perfect. Plus it is by far the cheapest place in Wellington. Yes, it is a family run hotel and expect to pay for little extras but with the rack rate at $99 , an extra...

I foolishly booked this place without checking reviews. Won't make that mistake again. The entrance alone was enough for me to know I had made a mistake. Our room smelt of old ingrained cigarette smoke and was not at all clean. The shower curtain had a rim of pink bacterium on the bottom, the freezer box had brown ice cubes,...

We stayed here for only 1 night (thankfully). We were checked in fine and had an extra child with us so had to pay $20 extra which was totally acceptable. We were booked into a family unit which was a decent amount of money for single night stay. We were on the first floor and it was a 1 bedroom...

Booked 'penthouse' for 4 adults and 2 children. Very strange set up, having to go outside building over broken tiles to get to room. Suite size was great but decor very dated and main room had a very funky smell. Furniture mismatched and couch held together with a bungee and dining room table stained and marked. Kitchen huge but only...

This place helped end my love of spontaneous travel and adventure. I used to think it fun to book a trip overseas 2 days out and go for it. Rock up to a city with no plans and just live like a content hippy. No. In reality you get the worst accommodation at unbelievably high prices, spend a week in...

We only stayed here as we wanted to surprise family who had booked the penthouse(very nice) After reading reviews we were not sure what to expect but room was fine. Fairly dated. It was clean and the bed so comfortable and electric blankets. Worst was the heating, they had a Eco panel on the wall and it didn't generate enough...

Stayed here for business and wouldn't often have a bad thing to say, though the fact I'm lying here awake at midnight with a full day of work tomorrow is disappointing. The walls and windows are very thin so you hear all the traffic. The guest next door has "serviced" half of Wellington since dinner time, as well as their...

It wasn't really suitable for us, the room was very dated and a little bit further away for the city than we needed, we had a baby so too far out. The positives - The staff were friendly, the parking was free, the room was pretty clean, bathroom very spacious with a great powerful shower. The bed was comfy and...

Great location, off street free parking, reasonable room rates. Outdated decor, but warm and comfortable, and reasonably quiet considering the location, would stay here again just for the location, a short stroll to Cuba Street and Aro Valley.

We stayed one night in this hotel; in the penthouse on the top floor. I must say that although I have rarely stayed in penthouses, this one is certainly different. Upon arriving the outside of the hotel is completely run down and navigating around to the hotel parking is a challenge in itself. The reception is tiny and as you...
