My family and I were in the 2 bedroom unit for a few nights and we enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal, as we were able to walk everywhere - Te Papa is only 10 minutes away, plus there is a supermarket nearby. This also meant that we didn't have to take our car anywhere. The staff were very...

It is ok to stay one night. Best thing about it is the free parking! You have a tiny room, old fashioned bath, no sound reduction in the walls to the next room but you are next to center, that also counts! Reception is perfectly friendly and helpfulness! !!

The Halswell Lodge is strategically sited on Kent Terrace with Courtney Places Bars, Theaters and Restaurants within easy walking distance. Also on the bus route to the Airport made it even more convenient. We were in Wellington for a birthday party and needed cheap digs. The Hallswell was on Booking.com and we reserved a room for the night for $125.00....

This is very much a low-end budget offering, and the photos do not remotely match up with the units that we ended up in. Two rooms were booked, but upon check-in, only one room was offered. For the second night, our second room was 're-discovered'. The cost of the second room was not charged for the first night of our...

I have stayed here twice in the past month once on the second floor (top floor) and the other on ground level. It is definitely much quieter on the second floor. We stayed in a motel room with a queen size bed and a single bed, there are additional pillows (always a plus for me) and the bed is very...

Skip this one...it's shabby, dirty and basically a hostel. Photos looked okay but what a disappointment. We paid extra for the king suite and even that didn't make it worthwhile. The beds are old, saggy, and have threadbare spreads.

Stayed in a hotel room accommodation while other family rented a 2 bedroom motel unit out the back, both options were great, nothing flash about the hotel rooms but have the basics we needed for a couple of nights, comfortable beds, good showers, tea making facility etc. The 2 bedroom unit was very good, had everything you need, nice and...

Booked large budget twin room for two friends visiting Wellington for WOW show.We found the room and bathroom spotlessly clean, if some what sad and in need of refurbishment. Beds were comfortable. Friendly helpful staff were a big bonus for strangers to this city. The location so near to so many attractions was really good, many within walking distance. The...

Budget accommodation is small and I found the room cramped and the bed a little uncomfortable. Very convenient to bustling Courtney place eateries as well as busses. Not bad for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful

Chose this motel through the Wellington I-Site office. $99 special and the motel is conveniently located near Te Papa museum. Room is just big enough for one person to walk, but of a squeeze for two people. Bathroom is clean and excellent water pressure and heater. Queen bed was too springy for my back though I do appreciate the electric...
