Wanting to wander the CBD we were very pleased with the location of the Ibis - walking distance to everything. The rooms were reasonably small but were very clean & comfortable with everything we needed. Receptionists were always pleasant & helpful so we would have no hesitation in stopping there again.

Central CBD accommodation handy to waterfront cafes,Lambron Quay and transport. Rooms are basic but comfortable and adequate for short stay. Foyer bar lacks any atmosphere but as there are plenty of cafes/bars in area it wasnt a problem

My exhausted friend and I checked in at around 1am and asked if it was at all possible to extend check out by an hour -- we'd been on bridesmaid duties for around 18 hours. They kindly obliged. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Would stay again.

This hotel is close to everything, shopping area and harbour are. The room was very clean with good facilities. Best thing was the free Wifi which was unlimited - not common in NZ. Reception staff were very helpful and knowledgable.

Rooms decidedly average but a nice location for water front, shops, funicular. You MUST book car parking beforehand and is pricy but very convenient with a lift straight to all floors and is only 10mins from ferry terminals. Internet is only free in lobby, a pain. Restaurant is pricy and you are mad to eat here, far better out and...

The main positive is location, if you want to be at the city center. For the money the room was small. The shower head wouldn't stay on the shower, so that wasn't a great thing. Parking was $25 extra and the breakfast was very expensive. I would look elsewhere next time.

We stayed at the Ibis for the Dr Who Concert. Perfect place to stay for location as it was just a short walk away. Great location to get to the waterfront and Te Papa. Rooms were clean and tidy, beds very comfortable. Unfortunately I did lose my wedding ring down the sink - the Ibis staff were really good and...

A standard Ibis in a great location in the centre of the City and 10 minutes walk from the ferry to Picton. The rooms are of a good size with large queen size big beds a everything you need. Did not eat or drink but bar area looked ok.

stayed here twice now, both times in a standard room. Great hotel in central wellington (Lambton Quay area). easy access to buses, cafes, train, shopping and night life. Both times we found the rooms to be clean, modern, quite, and had all the usual amenities needed in a hotel room. Staff are helpful, professional and friendly. The bed/s were comfortable, and...

Perfect location for a short stay downtown for the next day ferry. Walking distance to all. Friendly staff. Watch out for local calls, can be very expensive. No free internet access, I can'6t believe in 2014 we still have this. Clean and very comfortable
