This place made our quick stop over in Welly awesome, well appointed rooms, friendly staff and truly unique displays across the common areas. Hippopotamus Restaurant although a little high end for our personal taste, deserves its reputation as a top eatery in the area

Spent two nights with two kids in an apartment room. Very cool hotel and luxury beyond expectations. Great location (across Te Papa Tongarewa Museum) and lots of cool restaurants around. Kind of funny indoor pool (long and narrow) and spa area but kids had fun.

Nice, niche hotel. The owner of this hotel introduced himself to my wife and I at the Sevens fashion parade, which he sponsors. Very nice man, invited us to his hotel. Since he was such a nice bloke we went along the next day to check it out, catch up and perhaps book for next year. Well all a mad...

We recently had a one night stay, staff could definitely be more forward with offering service. - $20 to park in the on site car park, the concierge could offer to take my bag for me considering he was bringing my partners bag up (the partner had not yet arrived). Front desk, as mentioned before not overly welcoming or warm,...

From start to finish this place was delightful. We booked a deluxe harbour view room with patio and it was well worth it . We sampled the gym , pool, sauna and spa ( once the drunken girls had vacated it lol) The breakfast buffet was of very high quality and worthwhile. Staff were very helpful . We will be...

My boyfriend booked a room in this hotel for a surprise birthday weekend. The room was "plush" with a pillow menu and a gorgeous big bathroom equipped with bath salts and candles. We also had a fantastic view from the room/balcony onto the waterfront. The highlight was dining at the Hippopotamus for breakfast the morning after - I highly recommend...

I stayed one night with my parents in a 2 bedroom apartment, and it was the perfect bolthole for our weekend in Wellington. It's down the "fun" end of town so close to the restaurants and bars as well as the waterfront and museum (of course) etc. The room itself was amazing - huge with beautiful views of the harbor...

We stayed in one of the suites, gorgeous cosy warm decor, funky expresso machine, interesting magazines and beautiful linen. Its the only place in Wellington I would stay for a special evening. Staff are friendly and courteous. And the meal at Hippopotamus was to die for. Cannot recommend this gorgeous hotel highly enough.

I stayed 5 nights in the Museum Art Hotel in Wellington in July. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center and within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and attractions in Wellington. The room was very nicely furnished, very clean and I had a lovely view of the harbor. The rooms were very quiet and I was never...
