Just a short stay, but really enjoyed the time at the Museum Hotel. Excellent service and great decor. So nice to see colour and pattern as opposed to the usual hotel beige. Very central location for Te Papa, shopping and the waterfront. Well worth the extra for a water view room. Could watch the fireworks without traffic issues! Room and...

We only stayed one night in this quirky but cool hotel located across the road from the booming scene at the Wellington harbor. Our room was a studio with a tiny but well-equipped kitchen and a view of the harbor. It also had a combination washer/dryer that, once we figured it out, was a welcome amenity 11 days into our...

Spacious room and balcony with harbour view - fabulous quirky art works everywhere you look. Bed super comfy and great location for Te Papa, bars and restaurants. Charming helpful staff - great experience let down just a bit by the in room Wi Fi charge which on asking was removed from the bill - the. room charge is enough to...

This hotel is unique, quirky and interesting to wander and explore. The art is interesting and certainly thought provoking and a discussion focus. We didn't have time to check out the restaurant but if it is as exemplary as our room this hotel is worthy of a return visit and we can't wait for the opportunity to stay here again....

Olde worldly place this one. We loved how quirky it was The suite we had was large and had a balcony. Beds super comfy and breakfast at the hotel restaurant very nice. Location right on water front handy to everything

I love everything about this hotel. It is a unique art-filled quirky funky hotel which is small enough to have a boutique hotel feel yet big enough to provide a range of facilities including a fabulous restaurant. Breakfast buffet has a smaller selection than some other hotels, but what they have is quality and fresh. I hope that the hotel's...

Sorry but for $289 a night I have no idea why it is so expensive ? Even if I paid $99 I'm not sure that would even be worth it . We stayed in a balcony room and it was just average. Balcony was lovely and large though. Room is old and dated, fixtures and fittings dated , still can't...

I loved staying at the Museum Art Hotel in Wellington. The location provided easy access to Te Papa museum (just across the road), plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes and the waterfront - all within an easy stroll. Our Superior King room had plenty of space with a writing desk and comfortable chair, it was beautifully decorated with original art on...

Quirky Hotel, very well maintained and with excellent staff. The room was smallish but beautifully decorated, with a large bathroom. The extensive art collection is stunningly good. The hotel is small enough to be intimate, and situated across the road from Te Papa Museum.

Great iconic hotel in Wellington and nice and close to the action of downtown Wellington. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment that was very spacious and a great setting for pre event cocktails. Amazing pieces of art on display throughout the hotel, a must see
