Great location, wonderful and welcoming host, good breakfast and coffee. Also, beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. They also provided very good recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

Comfortable, clean and convenient room for a business week in Welly. The breakfast included is a plus and the very friendly manager made sure every one had what they wanted. The only glitch, an air vent that sometime let into the room the smell of cigarette smoke.

Dear Ignimbrite, We're pleased that you had a comfortable stay while on business in the Capital, and we're very sorry for the smell of cigarette smoke. Could you kindly email us (info@gourmetstay.co.nz) and let us know what room you stayed in so we can look into the location of the vent from outside and see what we can do to...

Very Handy location. Bonus of being a bit quieter too not being on a Main Street. A building that has been re-modelled. Rooms good, all different sizes. Nice & clean. As we stayed with our 3 children aged between 11-18, we had 3 rooms & a bathroom. Different feel to staying in apartment. Beds are firm & maybe the option...

Dear malube22, We're pleased that our accommodation worked well for your family, thank you so much for sharing your experience with other travellers. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the extra blanket. This isn't something often requested as the rooms are quite warm with excellent wall heaters, however we do have several quilted blankets available on demand. We're pleased you enjoyed...

Great location for me, could have done with a thicker duvet which would have saved on using the heater! Good exercise climbing the stairs and excellent coffee and breakfast in the morning! Love the extra large towels!

Poor value , insufficient bedding and cheap bed, cell-like room with insufficient acoustic room insulation, no gluten free option for breakfast apart from stale corn flakes and curdled milk, we would not stay here again even if the room rate was halved ..

We booked this hotel for one night when we arrived in Wellington before heading up north. It is very well situated and the manager extremely helpful and friendly. Morning and afternoon tea is left out to help yourself and breakfast was also laid out and included. Plunger coffee, muesli (although this was all gone when we came to breakfast at...

Modern Industrial styled room. Great space and decor. Very comfortable seating in lounge area. Loved the Industrial room divider, ample storage for luggage and clothing. The host played the Faulty Towers card very well - very funny, warm and engaging. I loved my stay and will return.
