We were warmly welcomed by Hamish (one of twin brothers - Andrew wished us goodbye!) and given all the information we needed for our four-day stay. I will get the few gripes over first! A bit of a shock to find that the bedroom and bathroom were up rather steep narrow stairs especially as my husband has a bad knee....

It's impossible to add anything more to what has already been said in previous reviews. It is a fantastic top draw motel and great value for money. Just don't look any further and stay at least a couple of nights if you , to enjoy the delight surroundings. Ideal for visiting the Mount Taranaki Visitor Centre and walks around or...

We stayed here a couple of years ago and we're delighted to find it just as good. Lovely quiet country location with delightful grounds and very good sound proofing between units. You really do forget there are other guests staying. Sitting out on the patio watching the rabbits play and listening to the birds is magic and everything is there...

You couldn't better the location, situated overlooking the beautiful river and native bush. The accommodation is stylish, spacious and comfortable - we had a one bedroom apartment. Everything is very well maintained. My only niggle would be that for a 4 night stay there isn't enough drawer space. We were pleased there was a guest laundry, and ironing facilities in...

We recently enjoyed a family occasion (90th birthday) here. The owners could not have been more helpful or generous in providing early access to the convention room so we could set it up. Although we had caterers, we also used the well appointed kitchen. The convention room opened out onto a large deck overlooking a lovely rural view, and there...

We stayed recently for a family occasion. It was a great place to celebrate, as we hired the convention room. It was a beautiful day so we took advantage of the large deck that overlooked a rural scene. The children had plenty of room to play on the large grassy section. Our accommodation was just what we wanted! Comfortable beds,...

We enjoyed our stay here. The setting is gorgeous with a rural setting over looking the bush and river. The owners were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were modern and spacious and the standard of cleanliness was very good. We also thought the prices were reasonable especially compared with other places we have stayed at recently. We were very...

This is a lovely property located a short way out of New Plymouth in a country setting overlooking the Waiwakaiho River. Check in was quick and easy, we were even offered a free upgrade to an upstairs unit, though we opted to stick with our original booking as the room was more suitable for us. The suite is a large...

Having stayed at this property some years ago, and visited for a re-assessment recently, I have no doubt whatsoever that its positioning on the banks of the Waiwakaiho River provides a tranquil outlook from very tastefully designed and furnished villas. However, having telephoned our booking for a two day stay only to arrive and be told they have no record...

We have just enjoyed our second stay at this hotel which is just beyond city limits in New Plymouth. The rooms have everything we wanted including comfortable beds, good kitchen and spacious bathroom. The grounds are magnificent. If you like a little walk there is a river at the edge of the grounds and a wonderful place to have a...
