John's house was amazing, a period house set on the edge of the main town of Rotorua. Beautifully appointed rooms, extremely comfortable. John was such a great host, B & B was never like this in England. The information John gave was a good guide to what was really worth seeing and doing. Breakfast was great. Eating out was a...

We enjoyed our stay at Robertson House quite well. John was the host with the most. He gave us great guidance as to the sites, and called to arrange our visit to the Maori cultural center for the evening. We enjoyed our conversations with him. Would highly recommend this B&B.

I can only echo the opinions of others on this page- John is a great host and has a knack of really making you feel at home in his wonderful historic house. We stayed in the green room which had a lovely terrace over-looking the garden. The room was very comfortable though I agree with others that it would have...

When there was a minor issue with the refrigerator that needed attention it was managed in an enterprising way. When our GPS failed and...

I can only endorse the friendly and enthusiastic welcome at this historic and authentically furnished property in Rotorua. We found our room rather like staying in a museum - full of authenticity but a little lacking in the home comforts of soft furniture, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities. These were all available in a shared lounge area but...

John is a most enthusiastic, warm, charming and informative host. A great location within walking distance of the town centre and volcanic thermal park. He has created an exceptional b&b in a unique house in Rotorua, we were so lucky to have found him. We would highly recommend on all levels. Liz and Pete

Both John our genial and very helpful host and the property have bags of character. The property is historic and listed. Our bedroom was a good size as was the en suite bathroom (bath & separate shower). Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice. John pointed us in the right direction for both restaurants and places to visit and he...
