We stayed in Robertson House B&B for only one night....but it was a good night! John has created a very comfortable "home" for his visitors. The B&B has spacious rooms with comfy beds and beautiful antique furniture. The bathrooms have been remodeled and are very spacious. Johm provides a very cozy and plentiful breakfast. The highlight of the visit is...

John really made this stay special, we only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. The house is spectacular, a real period property. It is within easy walking distance of major points of interest in the town. John let us put the motorcycle in his garage for safe keeping. The room was cozy and finished to...

We were only there for one night, and that is a shame. John is a very helpful, gregarious, and caring host. He made the stay much more enjoyable than just a fine place to stay! The accommodations were classic B &B, with a Victorian house, tall ceilings, and original hardwood floors. However, John has updated several important items, such as...

Well situated in Rotorura, easy to get to everything, by short car journey, not in a smelly part of town. The owner John couldn't have been more helpful, he gave us a map with advice on good places to visit and eat. He took time to find out our plans and route before working out how we can best see...

The house is beautiful and the rooms are just as special and cozy as the rest. The breakfast is very good as well. The location is also good, and there is a lot to see nearby. The host is fantastic, open and helpful and a lot of fun! He even put an extra heater in our room because we were...

Nice stay in a breathtaking area (all the National Parks, landscapes and sorroundings are simply amazing!). You can be there for a week and it won't be enough for enjoy everything. The B&B was clean, with big rooms (and huge barthroom), a complete breakfast and a very nice and cooperative. He gave us very good advices!

John the owner is a colorful character! He greeted us very warmly in this beautiful colonial house and he has very good advice on trips to do and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. No imperative schedule for breakfast, allowing to truly relax! Despite two days of intensive rain it was a pleasure to stay at the Robertson...

John's house was amazing, a period house set on the edge of the main town of Rotorua. Beautifully appointed rooms, extremely comfortable. John was such a great host, B & B was never like this in England. The information John gave was a good guide to what was really worth seeing and doing. Breakfast was great. Eating out was a...

We enjoyed our stay at Robertson House quite well. John was the host with the most. He gave us great guidance as to the sites, and called to arrange our visit to the Maori cultural center for the evening. We enjoyed our conversations with him. Would highly recommend this B&B.

I can only echo the opinions of others on this page- John is a great host and has a knack of really making you feel at home in his wonderful historic house. We stayed in the green room which had a lovely terrace over-looking the garden. The room was very comfortable though I agree with others that it would have...
